Purple Nepal from humboldt

Purple Nepal?

My friend got it in humboldt. It's purple and black with strong scents of lavender and blueberries. I've never had anything like it before. Does anybody know anything about it? (pic coming soon!)

If i recall correctly I think it's just Purple Urkle renamed :chin: The pics will help out a lot. I'm not an authority on the cuts that float around up north but i DO know urkle

The person we got it from had purple erkel as well as the purple nepal. I can tell you know that they were not the same. The nepal is twice as purple as the erkel ever thought about being. However, I think that they may have come from the same breeder, so there is a good chance the have similar genetics. It's almost like deep chunk without the hardcore amount of resin.

I've seen and smoked Purple Nepal at the Cooperatives up here in Arcata, and I've also grown Purple Erkle for many cycles. Although I can't confirm the lineage of Purple Nepal, it sure looks, smells, tastes, and hits like P.Erkle to me.

sup dank. Yea i can't say whether or not the nepal is truly urkle. My experience in the bay has urkle going by many many names. Dry goods and clones. Now i've read about it being called many more names up north and if i recall correctly purple nepal was one of em :chin: Do you have pics of the plant or bud? I can't tell from bud pics unless the nepal has some crazy stacked calyxes... that's something i've never seen with urkle. If it is in fact urkle i think the true lineage is relatively unknown. Supposed to be an old school paki i think

Sorry i can't be of more help - hopefully some people more experienced in your neck of the woods can help you out. Good luck

RM once had a Nepales Highland Sativa named Blue Nepal... ive grown it and it gets very dark in late bloom... and has a uniqe high and flavor.. could it be the same ?
Peace :rasta:

there's no way this could be a sativa, it grows almost identical to my purple indica; short, stocky, and tangley with indica leaves. Your nepalese hybred, was it super dank and take black colorations during flowering? and where do you get that shit at, i would love to add something like that to my collection.

i just got this cut from a friend, will run it with urkle and purple kush and see how it does... the legend i got with it was that it was a kushy nepali indica. my guess is its just another renamed norcal purple.

Being from humboldt i can tell you assuradly that the purp. nepal and the urkle are two completely different strains. Sometimes growers mess up and label the cuts wrong and you'll get an urkle sold as mendo purps or p. nepal etc.

I've heard the purple nepal is nepalese (indica) crossed with our local (non-soma) lavender. ITs a ****ing kick ass plant! Its one of the only purples that is actually potent with a long lasting high. The urkle fades in like 45 minutes.
Another great purple strain up here is the Grunk. (its grape crossed with skunk- it purples heavy and is potent too).

Its funny- i didn't know that the p. nepal had made its way out of the local area. Oh the humboldt Black afgani is nice also. Black buds, nice smell and potent.

hope this info helps

Nice pic! But to tell you the truth the OG KUSH didn't even make the cut in our garden. It yields so little you'd lose $ growing it. JMHO. There's plenty of far superior local cuts up here.
