Purple Kush vs Purps

Was it not cold enough? Neither one of these clones did turn actually purple...

Purple Kush

Tastes sweet... something berry... and has some earth tones to it... nice balanced high with body stoned... no cough lock... not sativa dominant, but I like it... better than Bubba Kush imo...

Purps

Tastes fresh... sativa high... also something earthy... I'm not sure if this is a a genetic trait, or just that I grow on soil? Anyway, I like this herb best of both...

Naw it's not a P maxx thing.
It's the way they are fed and the light thats hitting them that turns em more purple usually. For me at least. If underfed alot it won't turn purple either.

I've run Ape, Urk, GDP, Mendo Purps..

None purp up for me during warm summer runs, and all get purple in the winter months.

They get nice and purple when run nice and cool. In my environment that's 70 and under. Lately my runs have hit 85+ and nothing purps.

GDP (forty grit):

Oh OK, I guess it is because of the temp then. Never gone above 80 so I guess I wouldn't know. For me the purple comes more from what you feed it and how close it is to the light.

With the strains in mention I honestly think it's temps. All my buds were nice and purp before I was made to remove the window AC unit... my room ran steadily around 70. I've used 3 or 4 different nutrient lines, from 3part, 1 part, to organic.

Now some strains purp regardless. I thought this was the case with most *.purps but through practice that is not so.

PTK for example, was run along side the rest in warm temps and she purped up nice.

Cool, good to know.
Hey man, why don't you get one of those AC's that you can exaust out of the room with some ducting.
That way no AC hanging out the window but still cool in there for the girls.
You know those AC's with the ducting tube to ezaust the heat.
Stick that next to your other exaust ducts. Just an idea.

Cool, I don't have alot of experience with these urke strains.
Just growing it now for the first time and it's purpling up good at about 75-80.
The best part is that grape spice hashy skunk smell coming off of her.

My temps get down to the low 70's.
So we'll see what happens towards the end.
It just started purpling up.

Yeah, it must have been the temps... but I didn't keep these cuts around... and I don't need to try 'm again... I like Trainwreck better than Purple Kush... and Strawberry Cough better than Purps...
