Purple kush CFL tote grow

Hello everyone. This is my second grow and am currently 40 days from seed. I just built a new and improved Rubbermaid tote to serve as my flowering box. I'm using crop king seeds fem purple kush. I started them in solo cups then transplanted to 1 gallon pots. I'm using fox farms happy frog and ocean Forrest and have not had to use any liquid nutrients yet. My original box and now "veg" box that both the plants started in has 6 23w 6500k cfls, with a 120mm comp fan exhausting the heat. One of the plants became insanely purple around 3-4 weeks in. I decided to try out the mainline technique this go around and I will see how it works. I really like the symmetry of the plant so far.

Today is day 42 since planting. I decided to continue to veg out my healthier plant for a couple more weeks in my new flower box, and transplanted it into a 5 gallon pot. I transplanted the smaller plant into a three gallon and left it in my old box. The plants are showing no sign of nitrogen deficiency and I have yet to use any Nutes, and I'm sure the added ocean Forrest will only prolong that.
My new box is compromised of:
- 2 27 gal totes
- 2" passive intake
- 120mmx38mm comp fan
- 4" carbon filter
- 8 23w cfl
- 1 125w 6500k cfl

I really like the added size of these new boxes compared to the 18 gal ones I used for my other box, and they stack a lot better and are more sturdy. I also now have 300w of cfl instead of 150 and decided to stick to one plant per box rather than two. I also uploaded a pic of the white cookies from my first harvest

So I guess I should of posted this in the micro grow section, idk if I can move it or if I should delete and make a new one...
anyways I low stress trained the two plants a couple days after transplanting and they are looking really good. Gonna get in there and start pruning the lower nodes soon.

Interested to see how this works out for you. I am starting a new veg cabinet soon with minimal space, so mainlining might be a good tool to use in there.

Happy Growing!

Thanks man! Yeah I had tried topping and lst on my last grow but left two nodes. It worked out pretty good, but this is definitely a pretty good way to get 8 even tops. We will see how it works through flower.

So I went ahead and did some pruning today and thought I'd upload some pics. I cut off the first three nodes on all the 8 branches on my larger plant and just removed a couple nodes on my smaller plant. Starting to really fill up the box!

Hello, so I just switched this lady to flower and thought I'd update with some pictures. I still have not fed any liquid nutes into the soil yet, and will probably add some flower nutes to the ocean forest soil once I see pistil development in a week or two. Plant is looking really healthy and can't wait to see her flower!

Greetings,
So I switched the plant to flower on November 1st shortly after getting antsy and feeding a tiny amount of fox farm liquid nutes which ended up giving it a slight nitrogen burn which kinda setback the switch to flower for a week. A month later the buds are now developing and there are trichomes everywhere!

Looking good, I like reading about smaller grows. The pc case ones are ingenious.

Hello everyone, I was in the process of setting up my tent and building my own cob led light, and kinda forgot about this grow. But I did harvest and I just trimmed it after drying for 8 days and it is curing in the jar. I yielded 42 dry grams from the single plant. I was using around 200-300 watts of cfl lights. I only used bottled nutrients once in this grow and it was SEVERELY cut. I had a 1/4 strength mixed up and only watered 1 cup of the nutrient solution along with the rest of the gallon of clean water and it STILL gave my plant toxicity right before flower and kinda slowed the girl down. Either way I got tired of cfl and decided to get the tent and some real lighting. I'll post some pics pre harvest and some nug pics, peace!!!!:tiphat:
