purple jems yield question

Hi, this a question for mossy really but thought it would be useful to get it into the public domain anyway

A lot of seed vendors are listing the yield of the joint doctor purple jems as 30-60 grams whereas the packaging says 10-20 grams

My undertanding is that this is mossys strain being produced by joint doctor so that is why i am putting the question out there for mossy to pick up. If i have got this wrong, apologies but if anyone does know what sort of yields to expect that would be useful

It is really hard to say without knowing your conditions..and the size of your pots..lights..compo..etc

The Blueprint for them was to get an Ouncer..DRY..
in a 20 ltr pot in full summer conditions..without too much fuss.

I GOT that Plus...(30 odd grammes)
BUT..
the guys growing indoor in small cups are getting around 10-15 g's dry.
It really does depend on your conditions.

I tested them against
LR#2..
WRuss..
AK-47..
LowSnow
from other well known breeders..

Only AK-47 matched them for final yield/weight...the rest come in below.

Hmmm, very interesting info there, Mossy....So what about if using 3gal bags with a 600hps and temps in chk<around 85(day)77(night)??? Will be germing mines today...Oh, are they Nute sensitive, like BlueBerry??? Thanks!

Universal compo..1 plant per bag...?
I would say 18 g's plus..

IF you have them in non-preferted compo..
I would give the 25% dilute veg feed...at about 10-12 days..
then leave them 'til they sex before giving any more ferts.

They Are greedy in flower.
But don't over fert.
I've seen more people kill girl with Kindness than under feeding.

If in Doubt..leave it out.

Thanks!!!^^^ I will be using FF light warrior till sex...and ProMix HP after..Is that good to use the 1/4 strength grow @ 10-12 dayz as you sugg.?? and damm, 18g's per plant?!! I was hoping for 28g's, min/mand. per plant dry...Oh well, guess I will cross this with AK, Onyx, M15 or Sour60 to get some big pheno's....whacha think mossy???

IF your growing skills match your Tech Spec..
I'll be expecting a Full Pound..

My m8 out grows me all the time with his hydro..on the same genetics.
Watching his results made me Lighten the soil with around 30%perlite.
They certainly seem to appreciate it...
(that was when I got the WR to greatly increase her yield.)

really I'd be proud as Punch..

thepike1984..It is always hard to estimate..
but if you check out the threads there are lots groing in different conditions..it will give you an idea what to expect in your conditions.

One thing I noticed..
you get a lot more weight Per Pot if you put multi plants to 1 large pot than you will putting single plants in small pots.

I can grow a girl in a 20 ltr pot on full season and get 30g's plus dry..
no problem
But..
if I put 4 girls in a 20 ltr pot..I'll drop my individaul plant weight to around 18 g's dry each..
BUT..that brings me 60 odd g's dry out of the same pot..over the same grow time.

This is the WR in her 20ltr pot..she is about 22 inches tall..that is a standard patio chair to give some perspective.
Each tile on the patio is approx 12 in's so she has about a 2 ft spread.
I got 89 g's dry off her..
But it wasn't Fine trimmed..
so I rounded her down to 75g's to take that into account.
Took about 3 weeks longer to finish than a standard 12-14 incher.(8-9 weeks)

and JEM..multi potted..20 ltr pot..

Thanks for the extra tips mossy. Thats good to kno about having a greater yield plantin more per pot. I will b using this method after i do my inititial smoke/seed run. Also are there any specific phenos we should look out for?

id expect about 10 grams from theese mossy jems on average. but if u need 3 gallons of soil to get 18 grams something is telling me its a low yeilder. far below the ak-47. plus your huge yeilder(75 gramer) took u 9 weeks plus 3 weeks? when blynx ran theese some of his went 90 days also. i think this strain is a little hyped up to much, imagine it green n not purple and much of the hoopla goes away.

People like different color herb..brother..just like we like different taste in herb. It's going to depend on the grower about how much you can get from them. Anything going longer than 10 weeks is too long for my general grow, but I would certainly try them before becoming an expert.

ooooookay, so 18g's per plant dry in a 3gal, ie:12 liters...? well that still sucks!, AND to have to let them go 90dayz??!!!! BUT! like I said before...what about if these jems are crossed with AK, M15, Sour60 or Onyx?? I think maybe THEN the 28g's dry or more is attainable???! hopefully with the "purple/big" pheno's...Don't deny it till ya try it...JMO<
