It's been years since I posted a pic, just got growing again a year ago. Haven't found any reports on this cross so I decided it's time to show what I got.

Here is my lone survivor from the 6 seeds that came in my 5 pack. Strain is fem only.
The seeds I got were small and palish, not seeming fully mature to me and perhaps they weren't. Out of 6 only 1 made it above the soil. The rest seemed to crack open but couldn't get up before they rotted. I don't claim to be an expert grower but I don't think it was error on my part. I planted some ~6yr old seeds (made by a friend) at the same time, same conditions, and they popped up quickly 4/5.
All I've been doing recently is soaking overnight and then straight into a cup of dirt kept moistened lightly with a spray bottle every day or two until they come up. Worked fine for a large batch of seeds when I first started up again too.

Anyway I'm really stoked that this one made it through and grew just dandy from the get go. I think she had ~6 weeks Veg (2-3 wks in a red cup and then another couple weeks in a #2 felt pot) Transplanted her into her final home a few days before I started dialing back the lights. #5 felt pot in a recycled organic mix. I pinched the main stalk in Veg a couple times to encourage some lower shoots. I wanted to get her in with this round but I wanted some cuttings before I flipped the room. got the cuttings rooting in some Diatomaceous Earth.

I gradually reduced the light from 24 hrs down to 12 over about 6 days and she's been at 12/12 for 2 days now. Starting to show some stretch, especially on the lower shoots. Standing 18" above the soil today. Under a combo of horizontal and vertical light. She doesn't have prime real estate in the room but she gets some pretty good light, especially from the vert 600 that is nearest that long bottom shoot.

Just a dose of ACT after transplants and a little topdress of some castings so far. Any questions just ask, any pics feel free to post'em. Comments and advice much appreciated.

Let's she what she does!

Iron_Lion

Sounds like a great cross. Judging by the leaves it doesn't look like it's going to take a decade to flower either. I cant wait to see some bud shots.

I guess the Haze Chitral frem stock is getting a bit old, please send me a pm and will comment about replacement.

The plant has a very nice balance of sativa/indica traits, vigorous, thick fat stems (not like pure haze). Looks promising! Please, keep us updated.

Thanks Everyone for stopping by and sharing some nice words!
I am very excited about this lady, but I will hold off on pics for a couple more days to let her show some more progress. She has really begun stretching up now. seems to be gaining about an inch a day.

Frank I love the structure on this gal, very nice spacing and strong. Beautiful.

Iron Lion I hope your right as the rest of my room will be done ~10wks. Leaves look balanced hybrid to me too so hopefully enough PCK to bring down the flower time a bit. Might be able to figure a way to give her a couple extra if necessary though. And while I don't take the best budshots around I'll sure show ya plenty of my best!

Southernpeace thanks for following along here. What do you like best about Tikal if I may ask? Have not seen a lot of that plant but it sounds like a lovely cross.

Dubi thanks for stopping in, and thanks of course for creating this fine genetic to explore! I too am thinking this one shows a nice balance of sativa/indica hyrbid. The stems are quite fat indeed and though hollow (crunch easily when pinched) seem pretty sturdy. And Vigorous! she's really starting to show it now you'll see when I post new pics. Taking off!!

The indica influence is obvious (leaf shape, short internode and thick stems) but I can see the hazy tropical influence in this lateral branches ;)

Whats that you say Dubi? mind the HAZEy tropical influence?? jejejeje!!!

This lady is simply one of the most beautiful cannabis expressions I have seen! Classic F1 Hybrid. Such quintessential leaves and vibrant vigor! Haze side is showing strong now, stretching fast and while the rest of the ladies are showing more pistils by now and starting to set budsites, she has barely shown her female nature so far. It is discernible but you have to look in there close to see the pistils. They are mature vegged clones though so unfair comparison to use really.

She is growing upwards ~1inch per day. 8 inches since last update 8 days ago :) Now standing ~26inch from soil to top. I Wish she was in better light spot and don't expect great density or yield from her but more interested in the quality of her flower than quantity. Probably her clone will have a better lit home next round and then we will see better what yield potential there is.

For this run, though I'd wish to leave her untrained, I have decided its time to limit her stretching a bit by pinching her main stem. I did this 2x in veg so I would get the bottom shoots better for clones, and I pinched her again right after I took these pics. I started down a few nodes from the top and I pinched until the stem crushed (didn't take much at all, stems are very hollow). The shoots directly below will accelerate up next 24hrs. while she heals the damaged stem. She'll recover quickly though and renew her ascent sooner than you might think. Often just a few hrs later and a shoot has reoriented to the light and resumed growing. I pinched just one section today I will repeat this going up the stem (moving from older hardened trunk out towards soft growing tips) every other day or so until she stops stretching and starts flowering! If she gains another 6 inches this will be perfect, but more than that and her top won't see direct light anymore. The shoots that are on the long side of her (right side in first pics) are really the best lit ones, reaching over towards the bare hung 600w. I expect they will benefit greatly from this training. It would be so fun to let her develop that tall cola au' natural but I think she will do better this way if she stays lower and spreads out a bit towards the better light.

Enough ramble...any questions just ask .Enjoy the pics. More fun to come soon!
:) :) :)

Took some pics last night, I think 21 days or 3 weeks now since 12/12. Despite my pinching her main stem nearly every day she still put on another 7 inches in the last 10 days and now stands ~33inches above the soil. Does seem to be winding down the stretch now and finally starting to flower! yay!
Seems like a heavy influence from the Purple Haze in this gal. Hopefully the PCK speeds up the maturation cause 12 wks is probably about the best I can do for her.
Already have to figure out some way to give this lady some extra time after the rest of the room gets chopped(~10wks). Should be able to swing it for at least a week or two more though. Probably move her into the veg tent and finish her there while I move the next round into the flower room.

Clones have rooted fast, actually first clones to show me roots out of a bunch of strains I have going. HYBRID VIGOR! love it

Not a very strong smell, but if you rub the stem there is a nice odor thats tough to describe. lemongrass? smells like nice ganja. a light, slightly sweet, slightly astringent smell.

That's all for now, thanks for stopping by!

You are right! This kind of tropical F1 hybrid display tons of vigour and stretching in the first weeks of flowering, They clone great thanks to the sativa vigour and bit thicker indica stems.

If you are in hurry with the time dont abuse too much of N fertilizers, decrease slowly the photoperiod and better tie down than topping, cos topping delays flowering. Best wishes!

I have some of these myself so it's nice to see one getting grown out here and your plant is absolutely beautiful brother. You are doing an excellent job with her she's very healthy. :good:

Really gorgeous! :canabis:

Much love to Ace & crew on these gems. :respect:

Nice, F1 vigor at it's best. Can't wait to see her in full flower. I bet she would be a beast outdoors, well branched without growing too tall.

Thanks for stopping in a leaving some kind words everyone! I'm very excited to see her develop as she has now started flowering, though still stretching a little bit too...VERY VIGOROUS!
Mickeyspliff no doubt she branches very well and would produce huge tree in a suitable climate OD. I think she would get quite tall too though if you just let her go natural. I have been aggresively pinching her stem to slow the stretch and she is still gaining height. Lower branches have been stretching readily as the main stem is kept in check. not much longer to finish stretch though and then it will be all flower production!

Saludos!

Very nice healthy plant you got there. It seems like a very good compromise between indica and sativa, let's see how she flowers... Watching this closely because I'm thinking of buying a pack or two of this... Anyway good luck dude

This is one of my best closeups to date, you can see the trichs are starting to form!

I've taken to calling her "beast". STILL elongating nodes and stretching a little, though slowed down considerably. Totally abandoned any hope of a mostly natural shape now, I bet she'd be close to 5ft by now if I had let her go free. She's right at 3ft now and its taken pretty thorough training to keep her there. I have still been pinching and bending tops towards better light. The original top has been essentially overtaken now by a couple side branches. She is taking to the training quite well. Feeding her very light dose of ACT and fermented yarrow flowers about once a week. Definitely a light feeder, showing no signs of deficiency and seems happy as a clam to me. Smell still reminds me of lemongrass with a hint of sweet&sour. Not a very strong smell yet, especially compared to her companions which are much more developed thus far. She may have seemed like a nice balance of sativa/indica in Veg but this gal is clearly Haze dominant in early flowering. Guess we'll have to wait and see how she develops the rest of the way.
