Purple Haze Crosses: Malawi vs Honduras

Hi all

Looking for something close to the purple Colombian with a little more hybrid vigor. I am really tempted by the Honduras as it sounds like it doesnt deviate too far from the purple Colombian whereas the Malawi had a more noticeable effect on the high, etc. Not scared by long flowering times here in the tropics. Been a dream of mine to grow some purple haze, next one season! Thanks all!

The Malawi dominates crosses from what I've heard. For Ace haze crosses on the Colombia side, Honduras x purple haze is a good bet, Panama x haze would likely be up your alley as well.

Thanks for your input! Thinking the Purple Honduraus Haze and Punto Rojo for next season. I have one Panama Haze going now. Smells of lemons with a incense/sandalwood undertone. I hope she goes purple but it sounds like you wont know until late flowering? Here are some photos. I was late to the staking game so she is doing a backbend but got two long stakes on her now.

Hi Konasidegrower,

Panama Haze release contains both Green Haze x Panama and Purple Haze x Panama so if your female comes from the Green Haze offspring then she will finish with green colors, the Purple Haze variant goes very purple, especially with cold temps in the second half of flowering.

Malawi tends to dominate in most of her hybrids, although Purple Haze x Malawi is an exception: it has the terpenes, colors and uplifting/cerebral effects with little body heaviness of the Purple Haze, with much more improved yield and higher resin content from the Malawi, shorter flowering time too.

Purple Honduras Haze is also very Purple Haze dominant, with a full old school central american sativa tropical behaviour and finished product.

Both hybrids are great, and suitable for your climate and effects you are looking for.

Btw, i would increase the feeding on your Panama Haze as she is yellowing and she is just in early flowering.

Thanks Dubi! Think I'm gonna run the Purple Honduraus, chasing that Purple Haze :) Not a bad place to be, spoiled for choice with some many awesome strains. Just added organic fertilizer and a sugar cane/fish emulsion soak. Think I took the low nutrients too far hahaha
