Could someone give me some information on this.I crossed a male SG with a female GP came up with 3 with PG traits and 4 with SG traits all turned out female.Iam going to back cross again with SG male.Question being is will they retain the automatic?

If by retain you mean the gene will be there, yes, but they shouldn't AF. The cross you made shouldn't AF either so I don't know what you mean by retain. What you have made are F1's, in order to see the AF trait you must make F2's with those seeds, of these F2's ~25% should AF. You then want to keep crossing the AF's until you get to 100%. If you back cross to the SG then you use the same process though it will take longer. If you want to get AF's even faster back cross to the jems.

Is there as reason you are crossing back to the SG and not crossing your F1's?

I didnt save any SGs females.So the only pollen I had was SG .So what will eventually come out of backcrossing.Thanx
