Purple Cheddar Madness

Ey up folks. Hope yer all well. I’m brand new here. Not a great deal of growing experience. Started late 2019. So go easy eh. First things first my timings were so far out it’s not even funny. After running out of room in the veg tent I cobbled together a small 120 x 60 x 160 to flower out some lickle plants. Bit daft putting these in a small tent but that’s what I do best, daft things.

All these are in 1.5L of coco and the vegging ones have been topped multiple times. They look a bit scruffy but I’ve been nipping here n there but want to be able to nab some cuts from them so the scruffy stuff has a purpose. These’ll be potted up Monday when some coco comes ready for going in the big tent and flowering out.

The Flowering one I’ve pictured (there’s another two I haven’t pictured recently) was at about 2 weeks. It was under netting hence looking a bit disjointed and uneven. Looked reyt once it went back in. Starting to show that they want to flower now. I’ll get some pics of the others hopefully next week or summat

No pics as of yet, soaking some coco so I’ll take some once I’ve potted up. Currently taking a brew break from taking cuttings and tidying things up to go into flower in 2 weeks or so.

Just came to say they really are quite sticky already. Smells like the Red Leicester/Cheddar with jalapeños in it … Phoar yeah

Ey up folks. Had a busy few days with my gardening. I’ll never pop this many seeds ever again. Up till 01.40 this morning buffering coco and taking cuttings. I’m Piggin knackered!

Anyroad, enough belly aching. We all know it’s worth the effort if it all comes together at the end.

The three vegging PCM’s were potted up into hempys. It’s my first foray into this territory. I’ve had to try this as I hand water twice a day but once into full swing of flower really they need at least 3. Long term I’m gonna go to automated feeding. But being a poor I’ve had to buy bits at a time to achieve this. No pics of these at the mo. I’ll photo them next time I go up.

The 3 flowering ladies look lovely. Keen as chuff, stretch seems to have slowed but still keeping a close watch. They’re dwarfing the plant next to it as is evident in the pics. Not a big deal as that plant is getting pollinated tonight. Pics (disclaimer - I’m shit at photos. As is this blower. Apologies) ….

Bit of background. I had a manic few days a while back when I popped these seeds. It’s fair to say I went way too far. However they were all good beans. Once my mania had passed I took a step back and thought “Fuck!” Lol

Sooo, I’ve been cramped for room for months. If anything ive become quite adept at keeping plants alive in 9/10cm pot for months! Not a skill I was keen on harnessing but there you go.

That being said if the plants look a bit up n down then that’s because elbow room was a bit like trying to take a piss at the football during half-time. They’ll go into flowering in about 2 weeks hopefully. By which time they should have rooted out their containers. I’ll let them settle in then tidy them up

Ey up. On about day 32 of flower. Had to supercrop so excuse the angle of the photo. Had a tidy up down below and a wee bit up top. The supercropping makes it look busier than it is.

Temps and humidity well in check. Feeding 1.3/1.4 EC pH’d to 6-6.2.

Still has the jalapeño cheddar smell on’t fingers after a rub. Super sticky stems.

My first dabble wi’ Connoisseur and I can say wi certainty I’m going again. After this I’m putting out half the OG Kush mix I got with these Purp Cheddars. Fingers crossed before crimbo I can get in there for a pack. Chocolope here we come

Right so, today is day 39 of flower. Still feeding @1.3EC pH 6.2. I’ve also been adding 1ml per litre of intense nutrients wideload. I’m not an expert but apparently it does something to plant metabolism. When I used it in my last grow the difference was there to see. Unlike that nasty PK shit. It’s the last time I try that guff. You might see some curly leaves that appeared after a small experimental dose. Glad I didn’t pay for it.

Never grown owt like this before. I’m unfamiliar with the structure of the flowers. Do they look reyt? I’m in unknown territory here

7 weeks down. One at the front is incorrigible. Kept going for the light. Look stretched so I’ve lowered the light intensity a wee bit and started to dial back the feed. Just A&B now @1.2ec. The rest of the flowers are stacking a bit. I had to tie some down which has seemed to benefit number of decent flower sites.

Inexperienced in terms of weed terps/flavours/scents but I can definitely smell purple and a whiff of sweaty socks greets me when I open the tent.

Flowers starting to thicken up a bit now. Was slightly worried I’d get phenos right are the far end of the flowering spectrum but I reckon these’ll be done easy for crimbo. Apologies if it looks scruffy but it’s a small tent. The big ones however have just started their second day of flowering. Being wise to the stretch now I’ll keep them in check daily.

Looking great bro , sorry missed your last update.
Look nice and frosty , defo Haze look but with extra Resin from Purp Ched.

If its just the Purple Ched madness in there you might want to reduce light hours to 11/13 on/off to help speed up flowering time.

I’ll give that a go @ojd. Never grown owt like this before. I’ve grown hybrids with haze in there but these flower structures are a new one on me. They smell amazing when you rub a sugar leaf. Really punchy purple smell.

@ojd I’m gonna pop those OG Kush Mix next so hopefully there’s some Purple Cheddar in there too.
Might have a few bob spare for a pack, just sorting crimbo money out then I’ll be in a position to grab summat. Sorry to be a pest buuuut …. There’s that many to choose from it’s actually not fair lol … I’ve noticed you do a few mix packs but fems. I’ve never ever had luck with fems sadly. Wondered if you did any reg mix packs so I can leave things up to fate and get to try a few of your strains going and pacify my constant drooling at the list of beans. Dogshit being a poor but it is what it is so yer have to be cheeky from time to time

Day 58 today. Thickening up some. After having to tie them down away from the light I might have to tie them up as they begin to put weight on. These are in 1.5L of coco so quite the yielders. I wish the photos would come out better but you just have to believe me that they look more substantial in the flesh.
Dropped lighting to 11/13 and a tick over feed of 1.1/1.2ec.
I know this is ojd’s subforum but I’m sure he won’t mind me pointing out the 24k x White Cherry Truffle from terp fi3nd is a lovely plant but the Purple Cheddar are just full on bullies lol
Next post I’ll get pics of the big PCM’s that have finally gone into flower. Only 8 days in but be nice to watch them with a bit more room. The smaller ones however will be put into reveg. I’d be surprised if I did t find a keeper from these 6.

No judging on the state of my husbandry lol My growing style is ‘Mr Trebus’. Yeah it’s a bit skeggy but I’m still learning to grow really. I’ll worry about aesthetics another time

I do offer 2 Regular seed mix packs both normal price but 25 seeds each instead of 10
