Purple Buds

Done a little research but haven't really found a satisfactory answer to my question.

Are there purple strains that will go purple under normal conditions or do even the purple strains require cold conditions?

I.e. Purple Kush, GDP, Urkle, etc.

some strains are genetically always purple. some regular strains turn purple at low temps. pk, gdp etc turn purple at regular grow room temps.

I am running ******s seeds Killing Fields fem. They are know to go purple no matter the temperature. I shall let you know once flowers start to form on mine.

in hot temps urkle, gdp, and pk didnt purp up much for me, other then the tops and they were nice and purple.. with cold temps and direct light those entire plants would be dark purple..

strains like black rose, dpd, kf, etc. are purple regardless of temps, placement in room in relation to bulb, etc. they are purple through and through.

I have grown super deep purple (nearly black) strains in warm temps. I would judge on the effects and have never seen purple equal better.

But... But... It's so pretty! Surely it has to be da bomb, no? I saw some purple hash a while back and it looked really cool, don't know what it was from or whatever, just saw it. And all I could think was "I know that is going to disappoint someone if they buy it". I am not a huge fan of the indica stone, which so many of the purple strains provide. But even I haven't been able to see what the fuss is about, other than them being pretty. But hey, if purple weed makes someone happy, I'm glad they're able to get it.

This one is always purple no matter the temp. Smells like grape candy. Potency is average.

isn't it a general consensus that purple strains usually lack potency? of course that's not always true, but for the most part, that's why purple strains are usually crossed to increase potency. who knows, I could be wrong as hell on this statement. :p

When you have grown this many strains, esp purple strains, the color of the buds ends up to be last in your priority list..

lolryn never toked any other purple strains but the potency is pretty good on this one. The strain is called Krinkle. I was told she is some 80's strain possibly blackberry heritage. Way low in the yield department.

if you're lookin for seeds.. I have a few purple crosses up on the bay..

blackbird-purple kush sr71 x black rose
blackberry rose-blackberry kush x black rose

blackbird will produce some purple kush/urkle like buds.. lots of color in that cross.

Nice pics and input relentless. I would love to get a few purple strains going. Will be looking to buy soon. I might have to snatch those up if they are still available.
