Purple Bastard Haze

Thought to post up some pix of the 3 bastards I'm workin' with....found 3 different expressions....all were incrossed (1 branch only)....and the pollen spread in a few outcrosses as well. All are shown at 69daze flower....

This pheno reminds me of some AK47 I used to cultivate.....the aroma is in the lines of cherries/berry/cough drops. I flowered her in a 5" sq of coco....bottom fed in a bucket. If I had her fer another round (I don't keep cuts anymo')....I'd flower her in a 1.7gal sq....and get a lot mo' outta her....anyway....she was harvested this mornin'....



This is the "Freak" pheno.....whether temp induced (I don't even attempt keepin' a perfect room....I let my temps flux....just like the seasons....sometimes I get different expressions....I've no interest in the standards....chaos at all times....somewhat predicted and organized)......or whether she just flowers this way....I've had mo' than a few sativa doms with similar structure....seen it in C4, Flo/Flo hybrids, a Kali Mist cross....etc....lots of resin....low yield....she filled in better down low....and the seeded bud looks normal. She is just about done.



The top girl (at least cultivation wise)....a mo' beasty pheno....she still has another 10-15 daze....flushin' and still goin' strong. Nice one to look upon...attractive....grapey/berry smellin'....nice resin production...



I sourced these beans to incross and sort through the "down the line" generations....just usin' the F1 to get me in then. Problem free, good variety, and easy to grow. I'll post up a smoke report when the time comes....and all are cut, dried, and cured.....fun...fun...fun...

Next......busted them outta the fridge yesterday...they are in coco now.....

cant wait to hear how she smokes, supposed to be potent berry funk...:)

.....Took this one around 85daze....pix kinda suck....couldn't get a good one without mucho hassle....but she has been manicured and I'll try and post some dry flower shots....her pollinated branch looks well seeded.....smoked some finger hash from this pheno last night ...as I trimmed her....taste like she smells...identical....nice berry transition....stoney head....I'll detail later after cure.

I've sampled the other phenos....the freak pheno was better than the other pheno(the AK47 lookin' thingy....to me anyways)....very funky berry flav...no specific berry.....the funk undertones make it all the worth while.....I think this last plant is the gem of the bunch...good yields of berry purple buds....I'll start workin' her in the F2 generation sometime soon....find the right combo.



EDIT....forgot to mention the Hazeolope beans....had a good strike rate....and they are movin' along.

.....Kinda Hazey like.....not real dense....deep purple color in the flower....nice resin production....a dry...uncured sample smoked in a bong...lit by heated ceramic solder tool...no butane..no sulfur.....the flav is berry funk....previously harvested phenos had a chance to cure and the flav came out even mo'...doesn't lose anything...gains in intensity. Nice flav....taste like it smells in all examples.

Yuppers...nice stoney up head high.......thumbs up there as well.



I'll pop back in down the road and update what I find in the F2s....I don't think there were many of these F1s made as I recall....fer anyone else out there that may have a pac of these in their fridge or garden....I thought I'd post this up.....peace....pablos

I want some of this strain looks tasty as hell! it can replace my ot haze x sk1 since that takes like 100 days to flower lol

I just purchased a pack of these, on seedbay yesterday. OJD crossed them to a g13haze male though. I hope to get a pheno that's more purple bastard out of the pack. They sound delicious. Thanks for sharing them with us THE PABLOS!

....D420....I would not worry either way....I think ya will find expressions toward the Bastard.....all seemed very berry....and my run was done in cold temps...maybe why my plants looked kinda freaky....I get different expressions at different times in the yr....affects yield as well...but I like freaky plants.

Anyway...I'm germin' the F2 generation from the mo' hazy plant....and expect to find mo' goodness...with warmer temps...I'll get my yields up....I just fuk around in my garden....don't try to control everythin' to a point(though I have and can)......

I think ya will be happy....if ya like berry...all had purple in them if that is a priority(not to me)....the high is pleasent and I thought pretty sativa. Personally I sourced these fer the F2 and beyond generations..... I've outcrossed as well and in the process of growin' some of those out currently.....good score imo. Happy Huntin'...pablos

I hope so. It probably was. I've never had a berry pheno before, but i'm sure once I find one I will like it. No purples not a priority. As long as she is potent, and taste's an smells like berries I'll be happy. Anyways I hope the F2 project goes well for you, and you get more of those freaky plants that you like. Happy hunting to you to man.

glad to see the bastard still holding her own, going to start some BERRIE BASTARD in a few...thats a cross of MY PURPLE BASTARD to my buddies AFGHAN BERRIE, this one will yield huge and have some BIG TIME purple on her...also going to run some straight AFGHAN BERRIES F1's to look for the killer PURP dad for some more breeding...

....Nice puma.....I've been sexin' Bastard Haze F2s this wk...I want to make the incross fer the F3s and may spread/accept pollen with other Hazy plants that they are comin' up with.

I believe the F2s are goin' to reveal the direction I'll be takin'....but I'm lookin' fer a very berry Haze dominant (like the momma I used) and one mo' beefy in structure.....deep in colors....and stout in structure. If I can find those two spectrums....I'll then decide.

As a note of interest....I have a couple Hazeolopes...around 30daze in the flower studio. They seem like they are goin' to be some pretty fine...Hazy plants.....buds are kinda like cotton balls with glands...stretchy.. they like to fight me....about stayin' bent/in their ties.... outta the lights. These two are goin' to get away from me....I didn't pollinate them.....could do a reveg....but not really much of a revegger....nice plants though. I'll get some pix as they progress.....I'll also document the F2 Bastard Haze run....after it gets somewhere juicy. Pretty happy thus far with how it all looks.

...I hope mo' of ya are out there are.... growin' some of these Bastard Hazes....it's an interestin' approach if ya like the Hazy stuff.

.....I have 2 male Bastard F2 and I think 5 females in flower. The females went in a few days ago....but already seeing variety. Looking swell....should have some nice donors for the incross....and we'll spread that pollen around to a few other things.

Flushing out the two Hazeolopes.....harvested this pheno today....54daze flower...sticky....and fruit stanky....very pretty flowers...very easy plant to deal with....after some training.


Her sister....is a totally different phenotype.....I'd say more sativa looking......I'll post her up pretty soon....

yea puma is right .....its his birth child.....Purple bastard that is...got here for over 6 years now and still thriving...i i shared it with CG and he loved it :)
