picked this up in reseda as well at the NNCC. $50 1/8th re-opening special

Classic OG, looks a little nicer than some of the top shelf stuff that they have around at the dispensaries. Its got really nice forst on the inside, medium-large calyx and a good indica crepper hit to it that makes the eye lids heavy. I dont like to sleep all the time tho, so this pot isnt really for me.

Smells very musky and has a spice to it that really makes it stink to high heaven. I like the smell of it and wish it came out into the flavor a bit more.

Good bag appeal, especially if you can get it to show some of the purple a bit more..other than that it isnt much to brag about, stronger indicas are out there without a doubt. Dont think this one lives up to all the hype that they have surrounding it in socal as being a uber high end OG, though it is a little bit nicer looking than your standard OG.

Rate the visual appeal of the buds from 1-10 unappealing-excellent.
Comment: Nice chunky nugs, good shape and texture to them with larger than average sized calyx in the nugs, but they arent large enough or spaced out enough to make the herb have that fingery texture to it.

2. Visible Trichomes: 8
Rate the visible trichome content from 1-10 none-totally covered.
Comment: Better than average trich production, larger heads on this than on most of the other og's I have come across in my day. I enjoy when you break a nug down and it leaves a sandy pile of trichomes underneath itself. This one is frosted thoroughly inside and out and most of the trichomes have heads to em.

Comment: Not a strong tasting herb, has a good smooth clean flavor to it, classic spicey OG kush flavor, no sweetness to this one at all, just raw raw flavor.

comment: A little sticky and moist, not in the fresh "wet" way but in the slowly cured way that turns nugs nice and fluffy soft over a period of time.

Comment: burns fast and smooth but the ash is still pretty dark black and a little difficult to snap it in huge bowls.

I have never seen OG Kush purple, & it's cold here.

Bubba and its' relatives sure can and do.

icysurfer: nice nug shots, looks like some erkle i have sitting in a jar right here lol! Ive seen a good bit of purple og, seen it purple outdoors too. The santa barbara cali cutting of og kush is the 'purple og' from what i have read.

I took some better shots to show you the purple on this one, hope it is more visible to you.

Great report as always Sauron The Blue. I get all my buds from dispensaries so it's great to read a report from someone who also frequents them.

I've been getting OG kush from socal dispensaries since 2005. Have noticed that while the quality of dispensary OG has always been inconsistent, I've noticed a gradual decline in the potency of the strain in the last year and a half. Is it due to new growers using dispensary bought OG clones?

The strongest OG kush I've gotten (from a dispensary in 2005) has given me a bubble-hash like initial effect, with a crazy head rush and near instant numbness all over. And over the next 6 months the high became more cerebral and euphoric, almost like how a sativa ages over time.

But man oh man the taste was the thing that got to me. When I first got it, it had the typical musky kush flavor and the buds were dry to the touch. Stored it in a jar and 3 months later the buds had become moist and sticky(how'd this happen, buds getting moist with age?)

and when I lit the bowl of my glass pipe and inhaled, I got an insane flavor explosion of oranges; it was practically like biting into an orange slice and having the juices spray into my mouth. I had never gotten that spray in your mouth sensation from weed before and never have since.

MysterX - There sure are quite a few different flavors to it with all the hybrids out there right now, i had one that tasted like a lemon drop and another like lemon jelly filled doughnut, one can def get tired of that flavor though haha! Thanks for droppin in boss!
