So i have found a good grow spot for my plants but, i am having around 20 plants so getting water to the plants will be alot of work. However, there is a creek that always has water that is aroudn 50 feet downhill from my growspot. so my questionb was does anyone have any ideas as to where i should look for a pump that can go 50feet or does anyone know of any pumps that would be good.

I would use a hand operated pump. Like what is on an old well. I would be scared of having a gas generator running nearby. Might attract unnecissary attention.

well i was thinking that i could simply use a electric powered pump and then just buy a car battery and huck it up to that. As for the noise it is not a problem for my site.

How are you going to recharge the battery? Carrying a heavy ass battery back and forth doesn't seem like too much less work than carrying all that water :D

Maybe you can find a solar powered trickle charger though...

Thats what the pros do up north to water massive crops on mountain sides. Good idea with car battery(they are not that heavy in a backpack). Im not sure where you will find a good 12 volt pump it wont have tons of power but good enough, search for it they do exist.

thanks for al the advice as for how i was goign to recharge the battery i went to a local auto shop and i found out that they have abtterys that will wrok for about a week so i am pretty optimistic that that will be sufficient for my season and if not i would most likely only have to bring it in once. becuase i would only be using the battery at like a couple hours at a time9 only when the plants need water).

there are pumps that run by power-tools like a hand drill. Just screw the pump unit onto a oiece of wood (etc.) to stabelize it and mount the axle into the drill-bit insert.
