pulling to much air on a/c box?

k so i have a 2'x2'x'2 a/c box and i am pulling it with a 6" vortex is it posible thats to much air? could this be maybe sucking out a bit of the cold air? danby 5,000 btu a/c just thinking out louad here

I wonder the same thing.
Are you saying that you think the neg pressure is so much on the back end that it's stealing air from the front side of the AC.. like the ac is not completely sealed.. as it's not designed for that much neg pressure on the back end?

yes exacly thats what i think and perhaps that is why my 5,000 btu a/c is not cooling my 2kw with air cooled hoods......

How do you have your box set-up? Where are you getting your air from?

You can take the cover off the AC unit and see how well it is sealed. There really should be no pulling of air from the cold side unless you have a vent for fresh air opened.
And it should not hurt to pull more air through the unit. But, it all hinges on how you have the thing set up.
