Prune during first 2 weeks of flower/stretch phase...

I have 6 plants growing right now in my C13 all bagseed...Two Purples and four fruits. They are 5 days into flower now and I was wondering should I prune now through the first two weeks of flower or should I wait...I did some pruning a few days before cutting the light back to 12/12 to take clones so I can get a perpetual grow going on and keep one-three mothers, problem is they've grown some new lower shoots that aren't recieving enough light and I'd like to prune them.

If you'd like to do it, go ahead.

When it comes to pruning, you'll find that some people leave the leaves until a slight tug will remove the leave. You'll also find another group of people that trim the fan/sugar leaves to allow the lower shoots more light.

If they were my plants here's what I'd do. If they are under CFL's, trim the small buds, as they won't yield much more than a gram a piece. If it's under a 400watt+ HPS, then leave the lower leaves.

Again, you'll get lots of different opinions. Perhaps the best way to find out is to trim some, but not others. Experiment and learn. :joint:

I have found that trimming small shoots from the undercanopy in early stretch will cause the upper shoots to stretch more. I have height issues so I leave mine on until after the stretch. Then I remove them.

That's exactly what I was thinking floroscroger.....It makes sense that if you were to snipthe lower smaller groth shoots that the uper half of the plant would stretch more.....I'll wait till the end of the two week stretch.
