It is surely an interesting idea and site. The whole thing about groups seems confusing, and I would want to do a lot of researh before participating, but I would be open to it..

I find it funny that most if not all loans with a picture of an attractive female on the profile appear to be funded quicker and or more fully. People truly are all about looks.

I know a chic that used prosper.com to get a cpl. loans for her business...yeah she's hot, and she doesn't have super-great credit, but had no problem getting the funds that she needed and VERY quickly.

They did a mini-documentary on the local news about her and how "great" her experience was w/ that site.

I avoid borrowing money at all costs, so her experience is all I really know of....I've never even looked at the website.

Yes I have and it's a perfect time to buy.

The one thing most people forget about real estate is that it's not always going to be an instant return. Sometimes markets take a dive and you end up loosing money, but only if you panic and sell for a loss. If you can hang on through the downslide, you will always end up ahead.

There is not one real estate market(populated) in the world that has never recovered from a loss.
Grandpa always said, "Buy the one thing they are never going to make more of, and people are going to absolutely need."

The thing about that is that if you are not a wealthy investor and you basically put all of your money into one house to invest in, thinking you can flip that house without losing money... not being able t sell the house and paying monthly for your investment is a serious bummer.

I invest in real estate as well. I am looking other ways people make their money work for them. Brainstorming. CD's, Bonds, IRA's? What do you have? Prosper.com, I find very interesting. For some reason, however, I am reluctant to invest there. Only a little bit.
