Promix shelf life

I have an open bale of promix sitting in my garage that has been sitting there for about 4 years. Is this stuff still good to use in my grow?

Pro Mix is an inert medium so my guess is YES of course, just be sure to give it a good flush before using....you might want to add some amendments after that.....

Since the bales are compacted to about half their normal volume the lack of O2 in there is a good perservative.
The newer pro-mixes with subtilex (bascillus subtilis) have a terrible shelf life, something like 6 months. The peat, I assume, will still be good but those bacteria don't last long.
