promix for rooted clones

has anyone used promix for rooted cuttings before??? It was my first time, im used to using sunshine #4. I recently found out that promix has starter nutes . i transplanted rooted cuttings one week ago in promix i did not feed yet,{ but add a little superthrive and grozyme, } cause of their starter nutes which seem to range from 800-1200ppm, which is way too much for little plants. the plants seem to have twisted leaves some look shiny and wavy some have some spotting like a bleachingof the green . Is it due to the promix or cause i havent fed them yet??? Some plants look very good. They are in beer cups and are producing good looking roots, and some need to be transplanted. If i transplant into bigger pots with promix do i need no added ferts, im worried thepromix fert might be missing something or to low on something???? here are some pics ....any info would be appreciated. ps i Ph water to 6.2 under 400wMH

Maybe pH flucuation. What was the pH of the medium from where the clones came from. If you didn't add extra dolomite lime to the promix the pH may be too low. If your water pH is 6.2, the promix pH is 5.2-6.2 so if you didn't add dolomite lime the highest your pH could be would be 6.2, but it's probably more like 5.4.

Dont add more lime. Fertilize lightly with npk + all the micros. Adjust fert water ph to 5.8 to 6 after mixing.

no pro mix HP on the bag says nothing about ferts, but i checked the tech data on web site and they say there is enough fert for the first week.

If your curious, you plants lack zinc. Your mother plants must be low in zinc. Like I said before, time to fert with n p k + micros. Don't forget sulfur. I don't think gypsum is included in your mix. See my signature for the importance of sulfur.

well i transplanted 10 more today and watered with very light nutes at 400 ppm starting water is 250, it has gone up lately from 180. i will feed the others a low amount also, hpefully the twisting will stop. ive seen it before on other grows they seem to grow out of it.

hey spoutco why is there a higher percentage of Nitrogen in the Micro then the Grow. Hers my fert ratios Grow 4-1-6 Micro 7-0-1 bloom 0-6-2

Here is the rescue cure

Here is the rescue cure

You might consider a one time spray of zinc sulfate. You would use 56 ppm zinc. 212 mg pure zinc in a gallon of water. (56x3.8) If you got 36% zinc sulfate, you would use .6 grams in a gallon of water. (2.77 = the inverse of .36; 2.77 x 212 mg = about 600 mg or .6 grams)

If you only have a way to measure ounces like a cheap postal scale, put 1 ounce 36% zinc sulfate in a gallon of hot water. Shake well. Take 2.5 ounces of this zinc water and put in another gallon jug full of water. Use this diluted mix as your spray. (not the concentrate :yoinks: )

You can become a guinea pig and spray 1 50mg tablet of zinc (just split 100 mg in half) per liter of water. Zinc tablets you can get at the drugstore or healthfood store. It may be zinc stereate. Report if this works. Test on the worst plant.

There would not be 138 ppm zinc in your ferts. Try n p k + micros. If the twisting, wavy margin, and white bleached areas get out of control, spray. Just go to a local garden center maybe not a retail chain and look for zinc sulfate. Call first. Or go over to the drugstore and get some and use the experimental zinc suggestion.

Stuff like this is handy for a one time drench of the soil: http://www.scottsprohort.com/_documents/tech_sheets/H4078STEM.pdf

im reading the bottle and it says 138 ppm, im guessing that is the concentrate. it also says there is 41800ppm of calcium, seems like allot heres my micro break down
all units are ppm Boron-3.5 calcium- 41800 cobalt-.09 copper76.3 iron 763
maganese 28.5 magnesium 337 molybedum .09 sodium 1480 zinc 138

there is also3900ppm of mg in my grow and .5 % sulpur

Looks like thats total ppms. I dont really understand it right now cause i'm high. :joint: Just off hand it looks like it contains more zinc and copper than manganese and has little boron. This is not good.

good eye sproutco i messed up its 337 manganese and 28.5 magnesium .. that does seem low for boron, i have had rust like colour on my plants before with this fert maybe was a boron def.

You might try a one time drench of 2 ppm boron when flowering starts. I will give you some directions for doing this later. Plants in flower need alot of boron.
