just seeing what everyone thinks about these two.
the promix says it has mycorizza in it now.

i still like ffof.

i plan on adding extra perlite and using mycorriza anyways.

I've used both, promix can't compare to FF in my experience.Besides I wouldn't count of beneficial mycorizza as part of a soil mix to be very effective.Try the OF Peace of Mind granulated mix for flowering and blooming with your OF during flower, its the bees knees.

I find the structure of the Pro-mix the be better suited for cannabis, but it contains an inorganic wetting agent. There are similar discussions in the organic soil forum... you should check it out.

I use Pro Mix the most, I've used Ocean Forest too, their both good. My last grow I used Pro Mix with some lime, bat poop, and worm castings. My next grow will be the same most likely

Promix DX or BX? I've only ever heard of BX, no DX.
The BX has vermiculite added, HP doesn't.
They all come with mych now, but the CA ones don't come with BS (bacillus Subtilus).

I don't know much about FFOF, but if you decide to go the Pro-mix route get Pro-Mix HP for high porosity and then cut that with a lot of perlite. I'd say at least 30% cuz even tho it's high porosity it doesn't drain quick enough IME w/o adding more perlite.

The BX has vermiculite. Personally I'd avoid that, but if you do get the BX cut it with about 50% perlite.

I'm sure you already know, but I'll remind ya... Where a mask when working with perlite.
