Project Germination Determination

Greetings,

I've been cracking beans for a while now, and its one of my better qualities. Usually around 98%. I use the simple "paper towel method", a little bottom heat. They usually start to open within 6 hours up to 4 days, depending strains/seeds qualitly ect.

Now I noticed this a bit in the past, but with this current germinations (2, weeks apart) Both times a few where quick to open, however the root rots withing a few days.I Lost 2 of 15 Strawberry Haze:badday:, and a couple of my Skunk varieties

Bare in mind, I keep things pretty sterilized. Now i'm not talking Bio-Hazard suite, but clean/sterile environment.

Any thoughts of a anti-fungicide dry/liquid anyone suggests to use? (For future reference, all beans are germmed this season)(Looks like they'll be a bit more cloning than anticipated:noway:)

But I still have a good head start..
Pic to come....

Thanks for any input in advance,

over watering too moist. plus they need a bit of air or they rot. too warm as well no more than 80 degrees.

from what you say its more of a phycical solution than a chemical answer too your problem.

good to see you morpheen. imo if your using anything other then tap water i would premix some water for your paper towels then add a few drops of bleach just enough to the water to be able to smell it. Im sure there is a better way to measure this out but it's not rocket science=) but yeah and it never hurts to be as sanitary as possible (latex gloves) when handling seeds so as to not get any salts from your fingers on the taproot. hope this helps abit, Im sure you'll have more advice then you know what to do with shortly thanks to all the great people on icmag!

Thanks for the replies,

We happened to come across a Z of "Kush" straight from Cali. Which for you fellow eastcoast peeps you know rare that his. Point is its the BEST herb I've ever seen, smelled, smoked, and we found 3 viable seeds:woohoo:
I wish we could get some cuts like this...so at the very least we know what stain we have. Around here we'll just call it "West Coast Kush" ...Should be popular :D
