Project: Asia Girl & Swt#3 - F2 question...

Hola!!!

I am planning to start 12 Asia Girl´s from Reeferman & 5 Spice Of Life´s Sweettooth #3 both as a separate project because of the limited space. The intention is to get as wide genepool as possible with open pollunation so the offspring should offer some pretty interesting phenos, am I right? This is the way I understand it! Please let me know if there is another way to get wide genepool. Other way that I have thinged is to select one male that is showing desired attributes and pollinate all the females with it. This combination should offer some interesting offspring too...

With the Sweettooth #3 project I am going to act following way to get what I want which is as much sativa as possible:
I am going to pop all five beans at same time and hope that they aint all the same sex. Then I select the most vigorous & sativaish male and cross it with most sativa traits showing female/females! These F2´s should got that wanted sativa pheno that I am after. Am I right?

Unfortunaly I can pop these beans after two months because I have mites and I am planning to keep at least one month break of growing, right after I finish my current projects. The mites do too much damage to yeild & growing speed that I am fed up with those fucks!

herb .. i hate to disappoint u, but we grew out 7 or 8 of reef;s asia girl, i think we got 5 fem's, and it was no better then bag weed... from the description it is some of the breeders 'favorite' weed... i have grown out a number of reef's beans , and imo they are overhyped and overpriced. u be better off buying some mandala or nirvana seeds. 1/10 of the price and better weed...

I have hearded mixed reports about reefermans strains. I copped these for very fair price, looking for that thai high from this, should be some interesting phenos foir sure. I have also hearded that this is very tasty & potent strain so well see... I hope you just got bad stock or something like that, thanks for the notice anyway.

There's a fair amount of variation in the Asia Girl, 4 out of a possible 6,
F2s could be interesting... hopefully they'll all pop, he hasn't made any
Asia Girl in a long time.

Yes, the plan is to get as much phenos out of A.G as possible, so that I can then pick the keepers if they just would show up!

out of curiosity, what did you try?

we grew in addition to the asia girl, some of his willy nelson sour diesel. odin hammer and congo.

the shit got u stone... but for the $$$ his beans cost it should be kick-ass... and it was not..

we grew along side some nirvana's widow and rhino, and a couple of other 'cheap' seeds, and the end product was as good as reef's gear, and in a couple of cases much better...

that was 'our' experience with his beans... others rave about his genetic's, which was the reason we bought a bunch of his beans... never again...

It's a shame you don't have more beans of each of those... it'd be nice to have a really good number for genetic-contribution's sake... at this stage I'd use every Asia Girl that doesn't show obviously bad traits. Then hopefully find stand-outs in the F2 stage. Also, that way you don't run the risk of missing out on the contribution of a parent that produces winners, but didn't come across so well on its own.

The difficulty, I think, in assessing choice plants in the F1s is that you're going to need to run them for awhile to really see how the plants stack-up... running generations of clones for a year would probably be the best method. Gotta let them mature. Thankfully it's a process with benefits.

I think I know what you mean by that, I have also disapointed when people have raved about some pot and after you have got that hyped strain it is so called: medium potent that offers you that nonpersonal high...

Thanks for the suggestion okraskope, this was the kind of reply I was after I definitely agree with you that those F2´s should offer some bödöss-phenos and I am the one who is hunting them Yes, it really is a shame that I cannot run more than these 12 beans but I gotta be happy with what I got, right? On the other hand, these were nicepriced beans trought some fortune so if something "bad" happens it wouldn´t be so big problem, the wasted time & space is more of my consern. I truly believe also that I should pop all beans at the same time to reveal all those genetics that those F1´s hide
