Progressive grow calendar estimations.

Hello all,

I am working on my grow calendar and I find myself in a bit of a bind.

Anyway when growing from seed, sexing is always a hassle.

I will need to female plants in 37 days ready to go into flower.

They are 4-5 days old now and are in a used ffof soil in 16 oz cups- soon to be transplanted into 1 gallon pot (in 7 days) of ffof/ewc/perlite (50/20/30).

I will transplant them into 2 gallon containers for flowering 30 days after that and flip the lights.

I have 7 seedlings, room for 6 one gallon pots in my veg chamber.

So- heres the problem- I need two known females in 37 days from seedlings that are just getting large first leaves (not the cotyldons (sp)).

Is it possible?

I am thinking on putting cuttings on 12/12 but that will reduce the yield since there is not much veg time and little plant material to remove for a cutting.

Will reducing the light cycle to 14/10 force sex?

You thoughts are appreciated.

Yes its possible.....in fact i've yet to grow a strain that hasn't shown sex in under 37 days. (its usually around the 4 week mark ).

If i was you, i'd grow your plants on a normal veg cycle and if they haven't shown sex by day 30 take a cutting or two and put that under 14/10 ~ 14 dark,,,10 light. After 5 days (ish) you should start to see the sex.

I think you should be able to sex in that time,I think 6 weeks is a good mark for veg well works best with my 400w, you are not far off that.

i can get the males to show in 9days flowering with a 20 day veg befor hand , the trick is on your 12/12 to slowly move the times back 30minutes per day , u may not get them all to show that fast but u will get atleast 80% of them to show, and can move new batch in faster to make most out of your lights <=====o~^

Hello all, perhaps veg 3 weeks at 18/6 tehn the 4th week turn the lights to 14/10?

i would grow 12/12 or 11/13 from seed and let them show sex as early as possible, then adjust the light to veg if that's your thing. i flower my plants directly 12/12 or 11/13 from seed--the plant still has a brief "veg" period because it won't flower until it's got at least 6 or 7 pairs of fan leaves.

minds_i just grow em 18/6 treat them proper and ya should see sex 3-6wk mark from 4-5th node on upwards. the 10 girls im currently grown out all sexed between 4-6 wks and they where vegged under 280w mixed spectrum cfl's

minds_I ~ If you grow 12/12 from seed you'll see sex around week 2 or 3.
