Hey there..

I am looking for a program so I can copy some music from some lp records I have. I have a lp player with a usb stick, so I think all I need is some kind of program to do it.

There was not a program with the player..

I tried a program called audacity, But I cant seem to get it to work.

Any ideas?

I could really use some help here.. :)

thanks,

Audacity was gonna be my suggestion...

Great program, I would imagine your mic input isn't reading from the right source...

If it's USB, you should be able to select 'USB audio codec' or something like that messing with the sound options...

Good luck, lots of fun turning old LPs to digital ;)

What was your problem with Audacity?

On the top of the screen, below the play/pause/whatever buttons there is a toolbar with buttons. The first one is for the audio system it should say "MME" or "DirectSound" or something like that. You probably don't need to worry about it. The next button is for which speakers/headphones you are using.

Then the third one is for the input (picture of a microphone next to it). You need to click this button and select the USB LP player instead of the microphone. Then press "record" on the computer and "play" on the record player.
