Producing seed from IBL

This question has probably been addressed many times over but I'm not able to find what I'm looking for. Even searching the web it does not address my question.

I have some IBL seeds that I would like to replenish. I've never done a breeding before and was wondering if I could replenish my seeds by breeding sister and brother from these IBL seeds. I know it can be done, but would that be the common practice to produce more seeds with these identical genetics, or does doing that muck shit up? Again, I know very little about breeding but don't want to be without these genetics if I can reproduce more seeds for myself.

I've already asked a stupid question im sure to some of you, don't want to actually do something stupid too 🤣

Thanks

It depends on your goal.

Your main options are to open pollinate as many plants as possible (preserving as many genes as you can), to make selections and do one or more brother/sister pairings, or to self the best females (preserving the least of the remaining diversity).

There's no reason you couldn't do more than one of these at the same time.

Good luck!

Thanks Zif, that helps a lot. Really at this point my only goal is to produce more seeds so I can continue to enjoy the genetics for a long time. And I think that some day I'd like to try some crosses - I know, from some threads I've read this can be a controversial subject with some. Oh well. Appreciate the help (y)
