Procedure for fixing Nute lockout

Just wondering if anyone could give me a detailed list of procedure for fixing nute lockout in DWC/Hydroton. I assume its nutrient lockout based on the following:

Ph is below 5.2 and this issue began when i did a rez change and went from GH Lucas 3ml/6ml to 5ml/10ml. Before that I had no issues other than a slight canoeing from minor heat stress.

I assume im going to have to flush but could someone give me a detailed description of how to do this/how long for.

Dump/dilute rez strength to EXTREMELY LOW nutrient levels (It actually helps sometimes to use a dilute nute solution) say 1mL/2mL micro/bloom. Let the plant(s) sit in this mix for several (IE: 3-7 days) until you see signs of underfeeding, then you can slowly ramp up nute strength. You need to recognize tho, you almost DOUBLED nute strength thereby causing this issue, you MUST increase nute strength SLOWLY, usually no more than 50PPM per addition, until SLIGHT tip nutrient burn occurs: your indicator that you are damn close to feeding optimally and at this point all you can do is dial the strain in by adjusting individual nute levels.

Trust me, I've learned that lesson now :fsu:

How long should I expect it to take before i see signs of improvement?

Sorry to differ with imnotcrazy, but based on your question "HOW DO I FIX NUTE LOCKOUT", I would say his recommendation is kinda off.

NUTE LOCKOUT = Your plants are STARVING for certain nutes that they currently do not have because you have a PH PROBLEM.

So lowering your nutes to almost nothing does.... well.... nothing, but make it worse because they are STILL STARVING.

Instead - FIX YOUR PH and they wont have lockout any more.

Now if this is a case, which I suspect it is, where you have OVER FED your ladies, or are burning them... well then, it's not as much a pH problem or lockout problem as a too hot problem.

Quick fix for this: dump your rez, refill with water, add your nutrients per your schedule, balance pH and that's it. They will begin eating what they have been starved for right away...and if they are burnt, well, they will take quite a while to recover but will do so and new growth will begin to look normal.
