Problem with light bleaching. reflector help?

Hey guys quick question.
I have 2x 600watt aircooled reflectors and I seem to be having some light bleaching.
I thought the problem was due to having the 2 600's too close.
But it seems the reflectors are pretty crappy.
I was wondering if there was anything I could do to the reflectors to help it out it a bit.
Like if I put some mylar on the reflectors or if I went and got some kind of reflective material at home depot or something.
Thanks again. Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated.

See if raising the reflectors a few inches will help stop it. You might not get as much yield, but, it may have to do until you can get better reflectors.

what i would do in this case is before you try anything with your reflectors, it might be a good idea to invest in a mini temp gun, that way wherever you put your light, you know exactly what temp youre getting right at the tops. then you can make your adjustments from there.

great advice about the temp gun, those things are very helpful for an issue like this. what's probably happening is there is hot spot under your reflector. since u didnt give the namebrand of your hood, i'm assuming that it is home built. if thats the case, there is probably a flaw, bad bend, warp, etc in the wings. that might be an ez fix. if this is a namebrand hood, give the name so we can look it up and see what your working with so others can give u better feedback. also some specs on your growroom would be helpful to help suggest a reaplacement if it comes down to that

its prob ab ly a light hot spot. does the bleaching occur directly beneath the bulb? if so, get a light diffuser, its a metal thing you attach and it hangs below the bulb to diffuse the direct light underneath the bulb so as to avoid light hot spots (meaning high concentration of light, not 'high temperature' spots)

What the best thing to do if the bud has been bleeched? leave it or cut it off?

Ps bleeching problem has been fixed.
