Any one know where I can get promix shipped to ky for less than $70 a bale? The cheapest ive found is like 70-80 a bale shipped, I can make a 8 hour round trip to the nearest hydro store, but Id still be baying $58 a bale plus gas.
I don't know where u could score one but damn that's expensive. I pay 40 bucks a bale locally by me from a little home garden center with tax and all it's about 45 bucks.
I'll tell ya if you can get the promix hp or advanced sunshine mix #4 they are way better than the promix bx.
Personally if you can get the advanced sunshine mix #4 the yellow and black bale I would get that over any of them. It has tons of perlite in it and it is also a coco/peat blend that blows away any promix I have ever used. It also cost about the same amount as promix does for a bail. Hope this helps ya out oh and also just because the sunshine mix has coco in it doesn't mean you have to treat it like a coco grow you can treat it just like you are growing in promix.
I'm not from Ky, but I would try checking at local garden shops or nurseries, even some box chain stores that might carry promix. That's not something only hydro stores would carry, it's a very common all purp. mix. Nothing you want to waste money on shipping I would think.
Oh I see didn't realize it was for a outdoor grow. I would get like a potting mix or something like that for outdoors really something that will retain water for a long time. But IMHO that watering your plants pretty frequently outdoors will only produce a better crop and bigger plants. But ya the hp I think is just added perlite but I think the quality is much better also.
Promix also carrys another mix that has barely any perlite in it and has extended release nitrogen I used this mix outdoors and my plants did pretty well in it. It was also pretty cheap for a 2.0 or 2.8 cubic foot bail it only cost me 20 bucks plus tax and it retains water pretty good I would say better than the bx does so for outdoors it does great. I think I still have a picture of the bail in my albums.
We'll good luck on your search I would also search locally for the promix it is pretty common. Like I said the cheapest around by me is at a garden center not a hydro shop the hydro shop wants like 54 bucks a bail and some shops have it a little cheaper.
