Hey guys, I know this is slightly off topic but my Google searches didn't amount to a solid enough answer.
In the next week, my partner and I will be putting in roughly 250 feet of fencing.
We're planning to space our wood posts 10' apart, concrete them in, and install 6' welded wire fencing (only $1-$1.50 per linear foot, much cheaper than the $4 per linear foot for chain link). We were going to buy a few rolls of the privacy fence screen (dark green mesh), but all the fence screen I find says its made for chain link fencing.
These mesh privacy fence screens come in 50' rolls, 6' tall with grommets every 2' to ziptie/hogtie to the fence with. Only thing that worries me, is the welded wire may not be strong enough if we get a good gust of wind.?
Does any body have any experience with privacy fence screen and welded wire fencing? I believe it's 14ga wire.
It would be pretty upsetting to have all the time and money go into it, just to see the fence be torn apart after a few months. We're on 10 acres, but theres a fairly busy road that would get a full view of our garden if the fence were compromised.
