Ahhhh yes the first skunk (Mex) I ever tasted was in Grapevine Tx (DFW) on the lake in 82. I only lived a few years in Texas during the early 80s but thats when everything changed price wise and strain wise. I left for the Army in Germany 1980 and there was killer Colombian Mexican (not as good) and Hawaiian all for under a $100 an O then when I returned in 82 it was "sinsemilla" and this new "skunk" for more then $100. Thats when I bought my first 1/4 too for $25

BTW puravida I love Teaxs and lived a good part of my life there. My mother still lives down on S.Padre (sp) and when I get bored with living down here thats where I plan to move. To me Texas is like it's own country and although I havn't been there in years I know there is some of the best weed in the world there. Hell yeah I miss Texas!

down here I thought the same thing about just buying weed cause it's so cheap. You know do the hash and oil thing all the time. But after I tasted my fresh cured moutain grown I lost interest in the hit and miss bought weed. However it's a wonderful feeling to spend $18 and get a lb of some really nice red or gold, something I havn't seen up north for maybe 20 years (I mean good Colombian not the price, it's never been that cheap in the US).

I can get good hash and skunk ...all top quality.. hash is either imports...ie leb/moroc/afghan or home made...but just as good....
skunk is usually always homegrown for me now...but I still know the strains and how its grown which is a bonus (at the mo its cheese and armageddon / the hash is some really blonde leb)! ..used to get imports + u knew what it was ..ie white widow/ skuff / haze all dutch grown....
