Prepping my Dressing for my First Grow

While I am waiting for my Northern Light seeds to hopefully arrive, I bought a cheap dresser. What I had in mind is to design my grow dresser after Sativa Dreams' stealth grow dresser thread, especially some hinges on the back of the dresser for access. https://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=124305

The dresser that I have looks like it has been mainly stapled together, and rather sloppily. Some of the staples have been stapled into the wood so forcefully that they are embedded into the wood itself.

My question is, Is there a way that I can remove the staples with minimal damage to the wood? I have heard that needlenose pliers or mini prybars can do the trick. But I wanted to ask people here if they have had similiar issues. Thank you.

You can remove staples quite easily. I usually take a flathead screwdriver, push it under from the side and pull up. I try not to pry them out as it will leave many marks. Truly this should be an easy fix.
