Hey people, i'll be doing an outdoor grow next season (season just finished here), wondering when a good time to start prepping soil is? I grow indoors in coco, so will be recycling my coco outside with some compost, maybe a little potting mix, dolomite and some garden soil. Am i better off to do it now or closer to planting date?
Also will be planting several clones around a foot high as early as i can justify planting them, in an effort to grow monsters. What size holes would i need for say a 1lb plant? (don't think i will/want to beat that). Property i'll be planting on has a few fairly safe locations so rather than going for small stealthy plants ill go for large not so stealthy plants
Of all the strains i currently have (skunk #1, pineapple express, sour candy), which one is likely to yield the most? Thinking #1 as its the most sativa of the lot, but my pineapple express grows to the same size or maybe even bigger indoors
Would training definitely increase yield on these plants? Will probably do it regardless as i would rather a bush shape plant than a christmas tree
My mate does outdoor and has a terrible harvest (1.5oz per plant, planted early in the season) I'm convinced this is mostly due to poor soil and lack of training (mostly the poor soil). If i could yield the same off 6 - 8 plants that he yields off 60 it will make me extremely happy, and maybe convince him to try some of the things i have suggested. I try to help but he just doesn't listen. And for the risk he's taking with numbers etc i don't think its paying off too well
