premature pistil death

while i posted a while back about some weird raised spots that progressed like in pics below. Im always use to some spotting, i usually do well in yield anyway. But now im noticing some pistils turning orange im only in the middle of week 4 and this is at least an 8 weeker. I grow in promix fert every other water and stating water is 180ppms and add till i reach 1110 ppm, ph is 6 i checked soil runoff and was 5.6 and 5.4... ferts are okanagen blend also added : bio catylylst, monsta bud, gurilla bud, carbo blast and potasium silicate. i used to add humic acid but thought it was causing the spotting so stopped after week two. The general spotting isdark and sometimes looks like rust, also there is some interveinal chlorisis Only on two plants and seems on the upper half of plant. the pistil death is on only some plants and seems to be on the top of the lower branches the colas are fine and the buds just below pistil death are also fine.i have a extension cord that has a tiny orange light emitted, showing power is going through. ive had this cord in other grows but maybe causing premature flower death. i dunno, only know if pistils start dying buds stop growing, and they are growing ver y well.

check for some male flowers. Looks like your bud may have been pollenated.

a hermi wont always look like a male plant. inspect around the buds and nodes and look for a bannana or some balls. there may only be one on the plant , or there could be 100, to many factors to give a guess on this one. But from my experience when your pistils start to brown early in flowering, its usually pollen.

To start, runoff ph is too low. Be careful about adding too much phosphorus. This can cause zinc deficiency especially. Iron and other micros can also be affected. :joint:

Could be blotching from the low pH that makes potassium inpermeable to the roots...
Raise it to 6 or 7 when you water.
Ps! Hairs will die if rubbed against by anything and pollen. Some moldspores may cause this too.

I checked my ph chart and it seems that ph does not affect potassium too much. Increasing ph would increase the availability of calcium, magnesium, and molybdenum. It would decrease the availability of phosphorus along with copper, boron, zinc, manganese, and iron. At a ph of about 5.6 to 6.2, all nutrients are available in a soilless mix. Ph 5.4 runoff shows he is out of range. :smoke:

The pistils on my plants also show this if the buds grow against a fan leaf or get pressed.

no. None of the plants with dying pistils looked like hermies, they never showed any male flowers . And it was always on secondary buds never on the colas. Im thinking it was from rubbing or maybe from the fans heater or dehumidifier near by. It didnt seem to hinder the yield either.

if there was a naner on top of the colo dropping pollen on lowers...you get my point
