Preflowers

Hello,

I am used to planting feminised seeds to fill my closet as best as i can.
But, i'd like to try some regulars from mandala or mr nice, so i'm wondering about preflowers: Am i sure to be able to distinct the males from the females before going into flower?

So that i can let the females veg some more to fill the whole closet.

:thank you: for your insight

btw i'm growing in soil with a 400 (or maybe 250) hps light

assuming you have a veg and flower room:
just leave the lil plants in veg until you see the white hairs of the female flowers. males grow lil ball like flowers in clusters. if you see a bunch of preflower growth and no hairs, you most likely have a male
hope this helps

My experience with Mandala has been that M#1, Hashberry and Eight Miles were easy and fast to Identify.

Satori took quite a while longer and could be a little deceptive. Satori throws out some little extra nodes that can be mistaken for males.

I posted these the other day on another thread, but here they are again lol, it seems to be a common Q at the moment.

Thanks a lot for the kind replys guys. I saved the pics for when the time comes that i'll need them.

it's good to have a newbie questions section so we don't get flamed for being so clueless :)

I simply let it go until I can identify its sex.
When the nodes starts alternating it means it reached sexual maturity, or will reach it soon.
Then you can flip the lights to promote flowering.

You WILL see a vast difference between the males and the females.
Surely before any male flower will open up.

Just keep 'em in relatively small pots and repot only when sex is identified. That way you fix the space issue as well.

GMT, those are some awesome pictures!
