Preflower Pics?

Well im seeing some very small preflower pics on one of my plants. Too small to tell sex yet and ive been looking for pics ever since.

Then it hit me, A thread dedicated to preflowers in variouse stages of development. Sounds like a great idea to me and who know maybe itll save a plant or two that was mistakenly labeled a male when in actuality it was a female.

So lets get some pics up. Show me your boys, girls, hermies whatever ya got. Please no budshots unless you also post a preflower of the same plant. :friends:

OK heres one to get us started.

I took this with a 3.2 megapixel camera and thats as close as I could get with macro mode. It has been enlarged with a paint program.

Even mature preflowers can be very misleading. I've learned to wait either for eventual pistils to emerge from them before declaring them female, otherwise to leave them in the grow under 12/12 until they sex.

Why?

I know the answer too. Yours is the only pic I could find on IC mag that showed a good pic. Hopefully this thread catches on I only wish I had a better cam.

Actually I was thinking of posting your pic myself for a second but I diddnt think that would be right.

looks male to me, and almost identical to one I just tossed 2 days ago. The other plant I had that looked very similar turned out to be female, so know I'm kicking myself thinking I tossed a girl....good post indeed.

Yes immortal, I'm aware that you know. Please don't tell, people need to be aware that just because preflowers seem to be one way or the other, doesn't necessarily make it so :wink:

Though I am an expericenced grower, I am a terrible guesser of preflowers and have the habit of leaving those plants I'm not sure of in the grow as long as possible. As I have little space in there, when I just have to get one or two plants out and they're taking too long to show sex beyond a doubt, I remove those two plants which I'm convinced are males....but set them next to a window for as long as it takes to make sure I'm not wrong.

I'll be posting the other preflower pics a bit further down the thread, so people can take a shot at guessing.

I have my two blue satellite#2, which I think are both girls, I have even seen 1 single pistli come otta the preflowers on BOTH, just 1 single though, so they have been ion the 12/12 room for almost a week now, just so I can be certain...I hope they drop their pants for sure soon coz I dont want to leave emin there too long, i ewanna grow em up some more and clone em, but needed to be certainb of sex! should show soon though.

That pic I posted is a leaf. the tips were stuck between the two stems on the left. Now I dont think there should be another branch here so what is it? Has anyone seen anything like this before?
