ok I edited this post to make my self a little more clear on the subject !!

Think tent with walls no equipment at all . 4 walls a floor and a ceiling ,
that snaps together and is sealed .

You would have to run your own electric, in it ac lights ect .

It would be put together easily and torn down just a easy could be used anywhere .

Think all sizes 4*4 to 30*30 you design the size . This is just a room no exhaust holes no air cooled holes you would make those where you needed them .

So this is a room you can grow in and take with you when done !!

If there was a prefab room to grow in on the market would you buy it ?
(not a tent a room with walls )
Snap together in multiple sizes.
will allow you to take down and move.
sealed or ventilated.

would you be interested?

True , cost factor does play a roll and depends on what size you need .
I see hundreds of tent sold in the market and they serve a purpose but they are limited on what you can do with them ,also they are subject to problems of all kinds .

A prefab room would be more expensive up front but you could take it down and move it unlike building a structured room, so cost would pay off in the long run.

Just looking for input here !!!!

I

im me

the quality would be more important to me than cost... if there was a top notch design and equipment with a reasonable price tag id consider it. I'm fussy bout everything in my grows.

Hey SS.....You in my neck of the woods , and just fer shit`s and giggles , how the fuck would yas disassemble pre-fabbed walls of dimensional lumber with plywood/sheetrock/etc. nailed/screwed together in ANY type of stealth pattern when torn down and moved from location to location......

Bro.....DIY stick built grow areas like side by side flip rooms I ran in basements for yrs and yrs are NOT "take-downable and re-useable" due to the materials involved to build em with...and......

That`s why tents rule cuz they ARE collapsible and stealth guaranteed moveable even though I never grew in a tent in my life.....but....

It`s simple logistics Bro.......Grow tents travel......Grow rooms don`t.....Love the thought on improvements , but practicality hasta step in sooner or later , unless you know howta take wood and make it fold up like an accordian for transport to the next location.......walls are constant.....

Maybe you`re thinkin outside the box and wanna build em outta something different , but wouldn`t that still make em like a tent?......dunno....anyways.....

Peace....DHF....:ying:.....

Hey DHF glad you came by !!

You are right when you say you can't move sheet rock and lumber ..
I am thinking way outside of the box on this one ....

A indoor room that is sealed and moveable ......

Stick built grow rooms are great but can get costly to build and to tare down and repair damage from room use .

Tents well I already discussed .... I have nothing against them just cant really dial in environment in a tent....

Again this would not be cheaper than a stick built room or a tent but will be transportable with a box truck ...

What do you mean by box truck, how big? I think its a great idea and I looked everywhere for one. I have the biggest jardine tent, its ok but not as fantastic as it should be for the price. There are many portable rooms available now.
How is yours different, the ones I looked at weren't crazy expensive but i went with a tent and wood drywall.

It should fit in a u haul truck you would use to move in . 10 or 16 ft truck .

I have looked for rooms being built and have not found anything if you could please post a name or a link for the rooms you found .

This is a work in progress ..Just getting research done right now .

Just spitballin' here, but as long as you have a viable idea for a panel system, you wouldn't really need a large transport. Make them in, say, 2'x8'-6'-4'-2', even 1'x(X)' or some such other size panel. Easily carried, stacked, and transported. Might be easier for the customer to have certain panels already wired and just plug in a power source. Something along the lines of a Powerbox. As well as, some panels already fitted with light-proof vents and others with exhaust ports. You could tout structural integrity, insulation properties, etc.

Edit: Have you looked into a wedge pin type system for heavy concrete construction panels? Also, you would have to provide some type of system for light-proofing where the panels butt to each other.

This is already available. Saw one set up, last trip to the hydro store. Looked like a big magician's box. Real nice looking unit. Ridged sides, maybe even insulated.Breaks down into a stack of pannels and can be moved in the bed of a pick-up.

Very spendy. Think it was about $1200 for a 6x6?

Maybe for the guy with deep pockets and no carpentry skills.

RM-aquagrower Thank you for posting that link and for your input on this .

I have not seen this cabinet before although the design looks nice the measurements are a little off (you can not even put a 4*4 table in there) and the cost is overboard for the room you get. I can only assume it is made out of press board and aluminum. At @ $70 per sqft that is steep ..

I Do not think I should have used Tents as an example. that was my bad ..

My idea is to have a prefab room that can be put together and taken down easily and moved . For use by larger hobby growers or large scale operations to cut some of the loss of construction when they have to move . A room that is expandable and you can create a stable environment in. When it is time to upgrade space you can take the room with you .. Set up and tare down will be faster than construction so shorter down time on the move or upgrade .

Imagine being able to set up a warehouse with 3 12*12 rooms in a few days instead of a few weeks . Having only a few people helping instead of a team of construction worker you might or might not know .

Again this will not be a cheap alternative, but will pay for itself over time and cost of construction when moving or upgrading space ..

I am still in the design and research stage on this project.

Just looking to see what response is like on this ....
