Predatory mites during flowering.

I have a bad case of spider mites that wasn't cured in my last two treatments with floramite, It pushes their numbers down, but does not eliminate all. I was thinking of ordering some predatory mites, but was wondering if anyone knew how effective they were during the flowering cycle?

get some sticky traps/ no pest strips too. Preadatory mites only work so good and have to be kept in a certain area for them to work well enough.

How far into flowering are you? You always want to use more than one way to rid of those bastards, because they are becoming resistant to stuff today.

DEpending on how far into flowering you are there is some other ways to rid of them too.

Just bought two of those no pest strips today, I was wondering though, it has quite the list of precautions.

Do either of you gents know anything about it being harmful to people or pets when placed in a grow room in the same house they live in?

I do it, but then again, I'm an idiot.......who smokes a pack a day and doesn't vape my weed.

I haven't seen any conclusive evidence that they are harmful, but at one point, the active ingredient was pulled from the market.

There are some people (stinkyattic I believe) who won't use them indoors. I, personally, think they're ok as long as you're not spending large amounts of time in your growroom and/or you have a decent exhaust system.

There are very few pesticides and even fewer miticides that are really considered "safe"

Ultimately, YOU have to make the decisions on what's right for you.

Yes, I'm missing Corey and Trevor as well. They can't replace them with the college idiots (no offense to the individuals themselves, it's just your bosses don't know a good thing from their assholes and have allowed western greed to abolish their humanity)... sorry.

I'm not currently in flowering though I too am having insect damage. I assume it's one of two groups; Spider mites of some yellow variety or a sort of TINY aphid. I assume it should be winter where you are and all the lady bugs in your house should be in and around window sills trying to sleep the winter away. In my case I went to wake them up and gave them a home in my closet. They seem to be slowly waking up and taking care of my as of yet minor infestation. Take care to mist frequently so your ladies have a drink when they need one. A side note; I've read in other places that cold, humid temperatures work against the mites and aphids. High humidity causes the mites to explode from massive hemorrhageing. This is because the insects have a semi-permeable membrane (not for sure if semi or if fully) and readily absorb whatever humidity is in the air.

In summary my unprofessional advice would be to identify your adversary and know them well. Learn the environment that they prefer and then offer to them the environment they detest. Once you have them on one knee deliver to them the death blow. Lady bugs! They're awesome!
