Pre-measuring and storing nutrients.

I want to pre-measure and store my nutrients in glass or plastic vials. I am always pulling the exact same amounts from my bottles, and pre-measuring everything into vials just seems like the smart thing to do. Rinsing my syringes over and over and over gets tiresome. I know a whole lot less about plastic, glass, and corrosiveness of my nutrients than I probably should. But.. here's where I'm at.

This is what I would like to go for. They run about a quarter a piece, so $60 would be enough to dose out ~2 gallons, which is about what I am trying to accomplish. I just.. really have no idea how corrosive my general hydroponic nutrients are, or whether of not these containers will leach into my nutes.. I've been around the block a couple times looking for the info and I'm just not finding it. All I can find is manufacturers saying "keep it in the bottle". Hoping somebody had some insight they could share.

These are borosilicate glass, with ptfe caps. I would think that these would have the best chemical resistance, but they only come in cases of 144. If borosilicate glass is my only option, I am looking at spending ~$500 to store my ~2 gallons worth of nutrients. 144 of those 40 ml vials run $200. If this is my only option, so f'n be it, but I was hoping that this isn't the case.

I might be too stoned to be making any sense right now, so I'll reiterate.. What kinds of plastic, if any, wouldn't leach into my nutrients over the course of say... a year? I would really like borosilicate vials but I've been finding it very hard to justify that kind of expenditure.

Upon sobering a bit, I can see that I missed the obvious fact that there is no way to know how my nutrients will react to the any specific plastic without testing it first.. Unfortunately I can't afford to lose a crop testing out the plastic nutrient containers, so I'm just going to drop $200 in borosilicate, and settle for refilling my vials every harvest.

Knowing my luck I'm going to wake up in the morning to find somebody has posted a response verifying that any leaching that might occur between the nutrients and plastics wouldn't have compromised my plants. Oh wells.

At least they come with a nifty little case..
