Hi All, I know a lot of growers of regular strains say that they get a better kick in potency when they place their plants in the dark for 36 hours before harvest. Does this work with afs?

Never noticed a difference myself, but ICC recommends it, so it's probably a good idea...

Snowryder is 10 weeks old is just starting to have amber trichs that's why I was asking about the last 36 hours since I am about there. I'll post some pictures after I chop her. I ended up with two girls and one boy.

I've heard the story of 36 dark hours...tried it a half a dozen times and really didn't see a noticeable difference, I personally think it's a wives tail but ya never know...

Hello, for me i have found that the flavor and quality increases during this period of dark when plants are ripe. It always results in better tasting, smoother smoke then plants that are not given 36-48 hours of darkness prior to chop. Old Wives' Tale... I wouldn't say that,,, do some research on the effects of light on resin glands as they ripen and how light degrades THC, you might find your answers.

Rose I did mine for about 48 hours and it's some really good smooth stuff, I would do it.

I will be doing a test grow on the new Onyx and MI5 from Short Stuff after the holidays. I have the beans but will be out of town so much I don't want to start then now. Have some AK 47 Auto going for fun right now.

thanks. I have some auto ak-47 growing too. I am planning on doing a Mossey's Jems after Christmas we usually have a big family friend Christmas eve party here so I'd rather not have anything active growing then.
