Anyone running it? Ive used the recipe before with great success.

Recently found that they are pre bagging now and discovered that NL&garden sell it so I grabbed a 4 bags and everyone stressed that its a very hot mix so I diluted it with 2/3 bale promix HP w/ michorihze using 0ppm R/O water with 3ml/gal botanicare calmag and no issues thus far but its only been 5-6 days so not enough time to harm yet.

Im looking for any tips with feeding nutes after how long?

I plan to water/calmag only for a month or so then start nutes, im waiting 2 weeks or so from the transplant into the tga mix then go into 12/12 then midway or so start using pureblendpro bloom, AN bigbud, AN bud candy and GH koolbloom, at least thats the plan.

I read that they're also selling the TGA additives that you add to the soil of your choice, and your EWC. Cheaper to ship. Anyone have info on this? Thanks. -granger

Damn. Ive seen videos of people reviewing it and saying it cost them 45 a bag which is crazy as hell. Here it was 23 a bag and if I had got more than 3 bags it would have been less than 20 per bag.

Also I have itixed 50/50 with promix hp with michorihze and its ok.

My next run I'll be going back to hydro tho, soil is too slow and pre mixxed nutes are a guessing game I dont care for

As I understand it, the whole point of the TGA method is that you don't need nutes, just water. What's already in the soil should carry you to harvest unless maybe you're growing a very long flowering variety.

TGA advocates the use of regular potting soil for germination & seedlings, then transplanting into relatively large containers with supersoil only in the bottom half. It's theoretically a way for inexperienced & casual growers to get good yields of quality bud with relatively low effort & limited knowledge. Indoors, just add light, water, & a little bit of TLC.

The simplicity is rather appealing. I may have to try it.

didnt think tga would sell out like that///

I don't see how providing quality products that help us grow is "selling out", particularly when those products are intended to help newbies be successful.

Yeh, sure, the wife & I create our own soil mixes, but we were already successful gardeners with the means & experience to do it reasonably well. That's not true for everybody, particularly apartment dwellers & the inexperienced. We need to welcome them onboard to personal growing, make it as attractive & easy as possible. The more the merrier. If TGA's methods & products accomplish that, it's a good thing.

Its great for folks who dont have the space to mix and cook soil y I urself.

The mix I did lasted 3 weeks or so before I started seeing them wantin more nutes and I was told at the shops around here its good for a month of just watering so its not bad.

I think alltogether I have about 2 months veg total amd theyre fairly happy in the mix.

Having read TGA's thoughts on the subject, I think that part of his methodology is in using bigger pots, 5 gals & up, as compared to the #3 nursery pots many of us use, which are really ~2.9 US dry gallons.

With more nutritional value in the pot in the first place, it makes sense that the plant won't gobble it up nearly as fast as in a smaller pot. I haven't tried it, but I have a hankering to do so.

I know a very elderly woman who wants to try mmj, wants to grow it herself, too. She has a lot of physical problems, including macular degeneration. She can barely see much at all, so reading the labels & mixing nutes is out of the question. A "just water it" system would work well for her & probably a lot of other people, although she'll need help to get it going, and to harvest.

She does great with her houseplants, except that her daughter or I have to fertilize 'em when they need it... or repot when that's needed. They start getting a little scraggly otherwise, even though the moisture level is quite good.

TGA claims to have developed his system for patients with similar needs. I'm all in favor of any method that helps more people to grow. Combining it with autofem seeds might be a really great way for casual & impaired growers to get into it. They wouldn't need to be concerned with light leaks or even resetting the timer to induce flowering. It's a cool concept, if it actually works.

DO NOT BUY THIS SHIT.

TGA didn't sell out, that's the thing. TGA soil was taken over by some random guy but he stole TGA's logo... they're currently battling this as we speak. I ran 3 runs with that crap and I'm pissed because it's like I lost a year of growing. My plants weren't as healthy as they should've been and I knew something was wrong. Thanks Sub, for giving us your fuckin word and not telling us until NOW that the TGA soil is garbage. What the hell is that about? I was planning on ordering 5 packs from Sub as well, mainly dairy queen and plushberry but I'll spend that $600 on Gage Green Genetics instead.

Fuck you Sub. And fuck the guy who took over the company and started selling bunk soil. There goes TGA's rep...

Did you use a base soil? Or just straight Super soil? Because, I'm having no problems with the TGA soils at all. My current grow is looking bomb. And this Blackberry that I just harvested using the TGA soil turned out proper too. I feed nothing but city water straight from the tap, 7.0 ph/ 40 ppm. No special treatment at all.

A one of payment? Like a one time deal?

Oregon Stoner -

Those look beautiful man! Nice job. I may have been a little heated when I posted that comment, but it was more so about the principle behind the issue rather than how good the soil actually is. It's the fact that Sub gave everyone his word on this soil, and how his name is still on the fuckin bag. I just found out about this yesterday and it's been going on for a year so the $300 I blew on his overpriced soil wasn't even from him @ $45 a bag.

Don't get me wrong, it worked for me but that's not completely my issue here. I'm wondering if that soil would've been even better if it came from Sub... and if buying some rando's soil hindered potential in my garden at all for the past YEAR

^^^ OK. I get what you're saying now. The factory where the TGA soil is made is literally right across the parking lot from where my dad's car mechanic is. Main reason why I'm using TGA soil is because it's local and cheaper for me than buying other soils and bottled nutes. But honestly, I see no major differences in quality of my herb.

Ok, I mean the ingredients look good enough for me but I still felt like I was being cheated. Oh well, I'm done bitching lol
