I was out watering my girls tonight and to my delight a beautiful prayng mantis was watching over my babies. Thought I'd share a picture. Maybe other's could share pictures of insects they've found on their plants. I also have a little psychedelic bug that i've been trying to get on camera.

Peace

Thanks all!

I love taking pictures of my garden.

guineapig I love your gallery!

Here's the real gardian of my girls

He loves to lay by them and even more to sit in the circle and toke! Has a couple of brownies on accident, besides the chocolate not being good for him I think he actually searches for them!

I wish I had pictures for when I saw a mantis at the crops. For some reason it would give me such a good feeling... knowing I was part of nature... and producing some of Mother Earths finest nugget.

Natures the shit.

Just the other day I was harvesting some Easy Sativa and a bird flew like maybe one foot away from my face to a branch next to me to eat some seeds out of something.. it was crazy..

Very nice.
I used Praying Mantis' in my growroom last time.
They were cool.
Like my little friends.
They knew I wasn't there to hurt them.
So they would hang around me while I examined the plants.
Also had some lady bugs in there with em and it was fun watching them swat at the lady buigs and knock em down.

That mantis is probably eating trichomes and getting messed up, all while watching out for the pretty lady :yummy:

Fun garden pets, Mantids eat anything & everything they can catch!
Praying Mantis (Tenodera sinensis) make wonderful backyard pets, and constantly entertain while they eat insects all Summer long.

Eats thrips and other animals you dont really dont want messing with your crop. Mantis is carnivore (like care bear). Not at THC destructor machine. ;)

BENEFICIAL OR NOT?

Most often people think mantises are pests. That is only partly true. They can be beneficial, too. Praying mantises are terrific pest exterminators. They keep down the population of bugs that are a threat to farming. A master of disguise, the praying mantis can be an able assistant to farmer and gardener. Look carefully in your backyard. Perhaps that deceptive shape is a praying mantis poised for his next meal.
