PPP pure power plant / nirvana / 600w soil + some thoughts about cannabis

G

greekguy

hi people, 2years after my last grow im back on the road.

9girls here, killed 6 males (2fems 1.5month old / 7fems 1month old)

still in 24/0

400w grolux / switching to the 600w soon
box size: 1.25meter wide 1m tall 0.7meter deep
biobiz all mix soil

nutes so far:
1liquid worm humus/aminoacids
2my urine mixed withwater(whoever doesnt aprove dont rush to say im crazy but if u really wanna now just ask
3biobiz algamic
4just started feeding with 20 20 20 solugro (chemical)

temps: after many ups and down stabilizing around 23celsius/ ur thoughts for that????

my plants have 9central nodes each and are bout 45cm tall. never trimmed comments?

the pots that u see are their 3rd home, 2trasplants before that and they are going soon to some big 60liter pots/ 2 plants in each 60liter pot

they are gonna veg for 1 more week / their tops will be tied as close to the ground as possible. / im thinking of getting biobiz root enhancer for that 1 week so they get the 60 liters fast what do you think?

maximum 24 hours for now ill get descent pics with my new camera thatsa promise: but till then, please comment and share some knowledge with me/ we have much to discuss about, :lurk:
and please considering my temps/proper ventilation/600w grolux/30litres of soil in eacg plant could u make a rough dried gram estimate????????? plzzz very important for me/ for this speak only if u have the required experience

also the pots that the plants will be sharing are gonna be transparent plastic, is there any problem generated from light reaching the roots? i dont think that their will be a problem with 2 plants fighting for the "territory" in the same pot as they are very big, do you? :dueling:

what are your thoughts about the 600w grolux? as the space is small i want a light overkill, actuallu i am a light overkill addict :bashhead:

so anybody is welcome ppl, plz lets share some thoughts.

ps: ive herad nirvana ppp genetics are durban poison + w.w.? is that real?
nirvana sais it is mainly sativa / how can tha be possible from these genetics??????????????????????

If they arent even on 12/12 prepare yourself for a good trimming as those babies are gonna hit 1 metter easelly!!

I dont know whats the lineage of that PPP...
But if its that cross, its definitivelly a sativa predominant pheno, as the widow is (usually) a well balance hibryd and durban a nice sativa.

Ive heard many good things about that smoke (offcouse its gotta do with that relation quality/cost).

Good luck mate!!! :D :rasta:

thx for dropping by frank + for ur feedback, i did the transplant today and i followed a very unorthodox way. i planted the plants sideways to save height. i ll try to post the pics soon, but i think it will be a very special box. hope it all goes well

+some other question that is troubling me,my light does not have a reflector, i was thinking of making a great one out of mirror or by putting mylar on some boards, so i make a biig one that can be on the roof of my box????

or considering the size of my box, do you think that if i dress it all with mylar(even roof-side) it will not need the reflector?

white mylar versus mirror mylar, who wins?

G

Use the reflector!
I wont even start rumbling about lumen output non linearity... Its simply a must!
Unless your into "vertical growing".
You can use mylar or other reflective effective surface in the vertical walls of the grow... Theres no real winning or loosing in doing it on the top with the reflector, so its your ($) call! :D

Beautifull bushes!! :D
Be carefull, your pushing the ferts limit... thyre allreaddy showing some signs.
Good luck mate! :rasta:

G

greekguy

actually they dried out of water,so its not over fert.

right now the temp is around 27 but what will happen when the switch falls at night???

the extractor fan will close so the existing heat will stay in the box. outside from the box its around 15celsius

what you think guys???

can i flower with 13light/11d or even 14light/10d???

G

guest101

I can see how its overgrowing each seccion of the leaf, how some tips got burned and a how greeny reflective they are...
Theres a lot of patterns for dropped leaves, even if they are thirsty, more rounded at the tip show other signs!

If you can, it would be better to run the light throw the night as temperatures drop at night... you would be compensating for the important diference between temperatures at ligh on/off.

I would recommend you use 12/12... but its you call till 13(on)/11.
Half of the day with the air stucked in the same place inside the grow doesnt sound the best.

Good luck! :D

i cannot decide... 1 600w grolux or keep the one i have and add another400w son agro phillips?

which one will produce more heat, the 2 400 or the 1 600, and also wich do you think is the best 600 bulb and 400 bulb accordingly?

G

greekguy

HM...
i forgot to mention i already have 1 general electric bulb MH 400 that i can put together with the 400 grolux (i only need 1 ballast)
but is it worth it? (1 mh+1hps)
or i sould choose the 400grolux + 400sonadgro
or the 600w grolux alone??????????

choices choices.... ???

ANYBODY watching the thread ppl im sorry i havebnt got the pics of the transplant i promised...:puppydoge
i will asap...

Nirvana's PPP

PPP is an IBL strain ... the cross is durban poison x white widow I believe.. 8-9week strain
There are purple phenos from nirvana packs even thou PPP is a white strain(the hairs stay white even once died back).. either it's a mix up or it's just a purple pheno..

Very nice yielder.. low smell.. the high is a treat. Very easy to trim once harvested.

2x400 would logically put off more heat then 1x600 as watts equal heat.
2x400 spread out some would produce less surface heat as the heat is spread over a wider area... but the room would heat up faster.. then with a 600w...
You can cure surface heat with a fan thou.. I myself use a 600w and a 400w side byside

I'm not sure what your trying to accomplish by flowering in 13/11 or 14/10.. I can't think of a reason to do it so I wont comment on it..

Your plants would love 1HPS + 1MH ..its your money and either way you can't go wrong :) as for value for your buck.. 600watts are pretty good bang for your buck since there 85,000 lumens.. almost twice as much as a 400w for a couple more bucks a month..

About your plants.. I do not believe leaf tips do that from lack of watering.. but if you say so heh.

It looks more like you got alittle fert jucie on the leaves while feeding em and burnt em or lil water was left behind and the lights burnt em.. nothing bad just clean it off with water nexttime before the leafs try to absorb it or water before lights off.. or alittle bit before lights on.. The plants look good...

*Don't foliar with lights on
I can't tell if you did from your pictures but they look wet..

Good luck..

Hi man glad ur along

im glad fot the info on the strain i chose :) does anybody know if ot leans on the indica or sativa type?

anyaway,i do understand that athe 400 w will produce more heat
and i think that the 2 400 will give me more light and better distributed than the single 600 AM I RIGHT?
meaning if i can solve the heat issues WILL I GET "BETTER" RESULTS?(than using the 600?)

as for the mh, is the combination of hps and mh worth sticking to it or i should go for the hps x2(grolux+sonadgro)?
- i mean i know that the 2hps will give more light, but im thinking maybe that the combination of the 2 deiiferent spectrums could maybe compensate for that...

1hps 600w against
1 hps400+1mh 400 against
1 400grolux + 1 400sondagro
which one would u choose???? (assuming u can work out the heat issues...)

ps:1 BULB will be on the left and 1 on the right -positioned parallel, i will switch bulbs from time to time so all get the same quality of light...

sorry for my greeklish eh? :)

if it was my growbox, the most i would put in there would be 1 600w. youll burn them under anything more i would think, that box sounds pretty small. i would also say i think youll be happy with the results of the 400w. and you question about 11 dark for flower, i wouldnt do that at all, they need the darkness to flower, so it would slow flowering. also, are you checking your ph/ppm? if not when you flower them all kind of shit pops off

G

greekguy

welcome frosty nugs and thanks for the info

u see i dont stay in the house that the box is located, for that reason the temps outside the box are around 11 celsius. so i only have to blow enough air inside to cool things. as for the 400w the problem is as the height is limited and the canopy is too wide(i ll get pics soon sorry) it doesnt light ALL OF THEM as much as i want it to.

but your opinion is appreciated.

any other thoughts about the combination i sould use? a,b or c?

also the reason im thinking of 13/11 or even 14/10 is: im thinking that once flowering has started the plants will receive more light in the 1 or 2 more hours which will result in better quality-yied. does anybody has experimented with that?

1 i dont have a ph meter is there an other way to mesure ph???
2 i dont use chemical ferts, i ve only watered twice SOLUGRO 20-20-20 (great fert men) so considering the perfect ph of the biobizz all mix i cant see how it could have been altered by my piss which is always used 1/10 with tap water and about 1 time in 3 waterings

3 i also have a solugro fert for flowering 12-48-8 is it "The bomb" or "the crap?" which im planning on using, plz comment it as i will post package dosage and ask for instructions by experienced growers on how much and how often. -im thinking of feeding them mainly organicaly fert and sooooome times with the 12-48-8.

so????

ps:HENNESSY thx for ur kind words about my plants man theyr very well aprecciated ;)

you can add cfl's or t-5's to the outside edges if the 400 isnt making a big enough footprint or modify/buy new reflector might help. also you can get PH test strips anywhere they have fish supplies at

G

greekguy

will get the ph strips man, but i aint sticking to the 400 alone
im a bit greedy mother****er :DD and i also believe the results will be great if i add more light...

-so anybody else on the lamp choice?

-and what about the 12-48-8 is it worthy of using it some times in the future???

-as i said i ve transplanted em on 60 liters pots full of unused biobiz allmix.

does this large quantity of fresh soil contain what they need so i should only water em for some time or should i give em some juices to???????

Hiya GreekGuy

The MH puts off the blue spectrum, which really only helps in veg. In flower, plants prefer the red spectrum. So if you're a greedy person, I'd go with a 600W Hortilux HPS (personally).

As for the nutes, that things packs a punch :O The only thing I could possibly see as a problem, is the Nitrogen. The plants don't need nearly as much nitrogen in flower, so you might get nut burn :\ At the same time, it's high in phos., which plants need more of in flower. Dunno man, sorry if that doesn't help much hehe.
