PPM and nutrient dosages

I have the question regarding PPM and nutrient dosages. I’m using CalMag agent and Terra flores nutrients for mid flowering. I use 10L water container and put maximum of what is recommended by nutient manufacturer. My PPM meter shows roughly about 700 but in flower I need somewhere from 1100 to 1200 PPM to mu knowledge. Does it mean I have to add more nutrients until it reaches this point, or I should stop adding and keep up with manufacturer recommendations?

I would go slow and steady, start with maybe a bit less than they recomend then look at the plants and decide how much to up it from there..

Rather than adding more fertilizer concentrate, just don't allow any dis-charge out the bottom. The ppm will always rise without runoff and is a good way to increase the ppm. Allowing runoff with every watering will lower the EC over time. 😎

Hi Tranquilidade. The ppm you should use can't be found by reading a label or asking the internet. Every strain has a different appetite, some need a high ppm and some need a low ppm. And every room drives the plants at a different pace, so the same strain in two different rooms won't want the same ppm in both.

So how do you find out what ppm to use then? You ask the plants. They'll show you if they need more or less nutrients. When growing you'll always be watching them and adjusting your feeding depending on what you see. If that sounds hard I promise it's not, and if you don't know what they're telling you yet just post some pictures here and people can help you get started learning their language.

have fun
