Hello.
I have nearly everything set for an 8 x 8, 4000w grow to be set up in the coming weeks. I have never worked with as much lighting power before and I want to get this right.
I will be growing in a garage. I am unsure of the current circuit in there but I guess its something like a ring main, as its common. Even though that is still not enough for 4000w + ventilation, reservoir pumps, controllers etc.
I have seen contactors to handle the load such as a 'Green Power 8-Way Contactor' which can apparently run 4 x 1000w lights or 6 x 600w lights. I am unsure of the saftey of these as they can be plugged for power by two regular plugs.
What would be the best way of powering these lights? I might add in a separate panel for the lights such as a CAP-8. I want this to be safe and efficient. I do like the idea of the plug in contactor, but it seems to good to be true.
Thanks all.
