Anyone grow Dutch Passions Power Plant?
Got a feminized seed I plan on trying, been running their Durban Poison for many years. Anyone have any experiences with both?

I had remembered trying a local sample of Pure Power Plant that smelled sublime, I wonder the difference between pure power plant and regular power plant.
Cheers

Power Plant, if I recall correctly was an African strain (Durban I think) crossed with an Afghani and back crossed to the Durban mom. Maybe it was Nigerian, but I'm thinking Durban.

Pure Power Plant was a Nirvana strain, and it is PP x White Widow if memory serves

Very good WelderDan, thanks for the info.

I suspected it used the durban poison by looks and accounts on smell. The old DP durban I have is as stated above in regards to PP, a very deeply penetrating smell. Extremely strong/astringent and like no other strain, fresh/lime/cleaner is the only way to describe it but does not do it justice.

I and others around me have made 100’s of hybrids and back crosses with it and it doesn’t play nice. Phenos either smell like durban or the mother, rarely anything in between. Except for one... the most tasty sickly sweet and hashy girl that only performs indoors..

Hopefully this PP is better at lending traits and not a full carbon copy of Durban.

I been growing the DP Durban poison outdoors for a few years now and have considered power plant. I like the DP phenos that are more indica in structure,, the most common phenos, the sativa phenos with fluffy buds always seem weak for me, but are super mold resistant.

I have been smoking now for a bit on a recent PP harvest. I can definitely feel the Indica influence in the high. It's not much, but it's definitely there. Good very strong high, but not pure imo...

I'm now currently growing the Durban Poison from DP. I want to compare it to Power Plant. I can already tell that the growth structure is very similar. Very Indica Dom and smelly in veg.
I also recently acquired a pack of Tropical Seeds Durban '70's. I might grow that one after this current Durban Poison from DP run.

I haven't grown Power Plant myself, but get it on a fairly regular basis by a local grower who grows Moby Dick and Power Plant excusively.

I smoked it first, and then went on leafly, and while leafly is iffy, everything matched up perfect. It was a great sativa, not the heart racing paranoia inducing kind, but the happy, enjoyable, giggly, euphoric sativa. It relieved my anxiety and depression. It did have a very pronounced black pepper taste but was also sweet as well. When ground up it had a variety of pleasant aromas.

Not dense, but not airy by any means. I found it to be a very pleasant day time smoke for both my medicicinal and recreational needs.
