I really enjoyed the PPP too, I need to germ some of those next grow, thanks for the reminder. It is a great working sativa with good back pain management help.

well on nirvana's website I just saw it's in the white family so maybe something like durban poison X white widow or durban poison/skunk X white widow, ehh sounds good though the sight says it hgas an indica/sativa mix buzz and I'm looking for a striaght sativa but from what you guys are saying it leans much more sativa, so I'm a little more inclined to believe you guys :joint:

I dont know about Nirvana's...but this is from Dutch Passion.

Genetic background and history
Power Plant really blew a fresh breeze into the landscape of indoor marijuana genetics when it was released to the market in 1997. Being developed by Dutch Passion from South African genetics, this strain has never been hybridised, but solely selectively inbred. Nevertheless it's not a 100% pure Sativa, also containing approx. 12,5% indica genes that make for extra fat buds. Right after Power Plant had been available in the Netherlands for the first time, it experienced a very fast coffeeshop career, this new weed strain was a big seller in the shops from the very beginning. Its very promising and catchy name helped for that, together with the explosive sativa turn and delicious taste this strain delivers. Apart from that, Power Plant is very easily cloneable and therefore also became popular as cutting.

they must have inbred a skunk dominant pheno...

i've grown Durban Poison x Skunk#1 and it ended up with a much stronger, electric, hazy kind of taste. all the power plant i've smoked has a more mundane hashy/hay like taste and smell. but it's got a great heady sativa high...

I am pretty sure it is a cross between Durban poison and White widow. I remember reading that somewhere.

I've grown it once, from seed and I got three different phenos from three seeds. There is alot of variability. The high is strong and up but varies from euphoric to racy, depending on the pheno. There is one pheno that didn't reek too badly but the other ones were stinkers. The sativa pheno even had a slight cheese smell. The sativa phenos can get quite tall.

I don't regret growing these but I think I will stick to strains that lean a bit more on the indica side.

Oh, BTW, a number of the overgrow posts indicated that ppp is a light feeder and I found that to be true for me.

peace
