Power is out, temps freezing, my poor plants.

So Ice storms here in the North West knocked our power out. Hope this doesn't stunt the two already on a 12/12 light cycle much. Freezing temps too, poor girls.

wrap the pots with blankets to keep the roots from freezing and put them in front of a sunny window during the day.

I had to bring the propane heater in the house(low oxygen shut off) were running that in front of the oil filled radiator a couple hours at a time. We couldn't find little propane bottles anywhere today, I have an old propang barbque out back I am going to try to rob the regulator and hose from so I can use a 5 gallon can. Thanks for the advice for the blankets, I will wrap them when I get home from work. I have younger kids in the house, so I can't put them in the window unfortunatly.

I would expect your girls will be fine. It takes a lot to kill a plant. I feel your pain though. I live in the PNW too and lost power for almost 3 days. I don't grow during the winter months for this very reason. I'm sure the plants would be ok, but it stresses me out too much :) Good luck!

I feel ya, Spliff. Our power has gone out a half a dozen times over the last few days as well. Stupid power outages had me stressing, temps in the main grow got down around the low 60's.

Hopefully you're back to the regularly-scheduled PNW rain like us, everything appears to be clearing up finally.

the wind after the icestorm was what worried me, the trees were heavily iced.
luckily an outage was averted and we relaxed a bit.
hope everyone and their plants managed through it.

a cheap propane heater is good insurance, hermies be damned

Coleman propane heater $60 at Walmart or elsewhere
we were out for four days last October with temps in the teens
and it kept my room at 60-65 degrees

keep the box and recept and you can get your money back when the power comes back on

we planned to do this and before we could return it our power went out again so we kept it

Thanks everyone! Still no power :-( I'm sure it will be back soon, worst case senerio with the plants is I will have some hermie seed of this purple strain. Dragging hooks, we bought the Mr Heater a couple years ago for an outage that was going to happen that never did, we had the intention of returning it. I procrastinated so we could keep it :) . On the hunt for propane still.

Had a three day power cut here 45mins after lights on 3/4 of the way through subtropical sativa flowering. Temps down to 7c, no fans etc.

Plants fine, one hermied slightly but was nearly done. If anything I think the low temps were good as it meant the plants slowed down and didn't stretch out to much.

Plan to get a small generator for next year to run a few flouros in similar situation.

Just an edit to say that the buds were very wet when power came back on, the sativas have good mold resistance but anything without that would have molded for sure. Dried quick when lights came back on.
