Power Clone Gel from Botanicare

I was in need of some cloning gel, as i have a bunch of ladies i need to clone so i went to my local hydro store and grabbed a bottle of power clone gel (2 oz.) from botanicare. Has anyone used this stuff? Is it decent? I know the cloning gel doesn't have a huge deal to do with weather they clone or not, but i have had better success with better gels so i figured if someone has tried this they could give me some input. I know most of botanicares stuff is good, but i recently had some pure blend pro that ruined some of my crops, i believe it was out of date even though it was supposed to be brand new when i got it.

I like gels, whats the NPK rating?N and K should be nearly identical with P doubling both.Cloning solutions should be the same.

lucid- what powder are you talking about? I'm looking on info on this product only, sorry for being harsh i just made the thread so i could get info on power clone...no what type of powder/gel i should use.

soilman- this isn't a solution, it's a gel. There are no npk ratings on the bottle. They only have npk ratings on their cloning solution, which is a different product...but the solution's npk ratings are .02-.03-.02

Well I use Olivia's cloning solution and gel.The solution is .06-.13-.07.The gel is .08-.15-.09.I'm not sure I'd trust a cloning powder or gel without an NPK rating, thats just me.The stuff you have could be the bomb.Proper techniques are 95% with chemical propagation assistance being maybe 5%One thing is clear, proper techniques and added phosphorous is a winning combination.

So, is cloning gel THAT important during the cloning phase? I'm just wondering, because i have heard that humidity, and proper techniques like you said have alot more to do with the rooting percentage.

Stim-Root

It comes in #'s 1, 2, 3 depending on soft or woody tissue.

I use this. It's cheap, can be found at any garden supply and lasts forever.

I have excellent results with roots showing in 6 days. Usually 95-100% survival rate.

Their gel is one of the best. The fancy brands from the grow shops usually don't even come with a fungicide like Stim-Root does and clones come in no quicker if not slower.

gels and solutions are not necessary, true!.........typically your cuts will use stored food to root.....this causes leaves to yellow and do other ugly things....the gels and solutions keep your cuts happy and green while they root, transplants will take quicker, you'll have a higher success rate.

power clone is really good stuff, and the price reflects that :D expensive stuff

if you're using an aero-cloner, some solutions will clog your misters. (olivia's)

if you're using a bubbe-cloner, the gels make the water soapy and it doesn't bubble properly because of the surface tension.

good luck
