Powdery Mildew

I've got PM for the first time in many years, pretty bad. Like snow storm bad. Dehumidifier is 65pt biggest I could find, only keeps it at 35-60% RH...

Anyway, I got a Sulfur vape (hotbox + pellets), I also have Zone and Penetrator Gold. Plus a bottle of SM-90. Haven't used any of it yet. Greencure is not available here, and I can't seem to find any Potassium Bicarbonate locally either, or JMS Stylet Oil.

Some plants are done in 2 weeks, some have 4 weeks to go. I've been spraying neem until now, so I can't vape sulfur in that room for 2 weeks, correct? I have that room, plus moms/veg room to treat.

People doing dunks/sprays of zone/penetrator, do you apply with lights on or off? Normally I would think lights off, but DM says lights on for penetrator... I've read all the long threads thoroughly and this was not addressed.

SM-90 is oil based, so if i spray that I still can't vape sulfur, right? I'm thinking sulfur vape the moms and use the zone/penetrator in the flower room until the ripe ones are cut, then sulfur vape the remaining.

Any help is appreciated, I'd like to roll up my sleeves and kick some PM ass today!

At this point, chems would be a non-starter. If the sulfur doesn't work I'd be tempted to wash with water and soap (or a good spreader). H2O kills mildew on contact, just hope you don't cause mold in your buds so I'd be spraying only the stems and leaves.

Green Supreme

Wonder how many of this very thread there is here. Seems like folks don't search a subject before starting a new thread. Oh well blah blah same as others info lol. Good luck. Peace GS

jms stylet oil seems the best omri rated if i were In flowering.I had a little powdery mildew on my p98b o.g. that i just harvested I used hydrogen peroxide, and a very lite application of physan early on.try to keep your humidity below 50 percent to keep p.m. down.
I think as long as humidity is below 50 percent or if your outdoor on a nice sunny day preferably a santa ana condition early in day would be a good time to clean leaves off.

Thanks thegreenjar, lights off it is.

We need to brush up on our reading skills though, people :p

Grapeman, I can't use the sulfur yet since I recently sprayed neem.

nephilthim, as I said in the OP, JMS is not available locally so I haven't got it.

Green Supreme, not only is that not very nice, but if you read my post you'll see that I did search the boards extensively, which is why I got a sulfur vape and the zone/penetrator. That's how I know not to vape sulfur so soon after spraying neem. My question about lights on or off was not addressed in any thread dealing with PM or zone/penetrator. So I asked here, and offered my reasoning and plan of action in case anyone cared to chime in on it, as I may have missed something. Not sure what I did wrong, but thanks for your help, and do come again.

Why have you let the PM go to the point that it's like a 'snow storm'?
Spray that shit.
All these things do is raise the pH of the leaf surface, so it really doesn't matter what you use. If you keep the leaves sprayed and watch it like a hawk, you can stay on top of it. I wouldn't use sulfur on my finishing buds. Some say they do.
why isn't Greencure available. You have the internet? Hell, spray with a little baking soda.
NEEM sucks ass, because of the smell and the taste on buds. SM90 is a little better. Again, these are just oils which raise pH. High pH water will work.
I use greeencure. Everyday I check my plants closely and spray the affected leaves, if you do this, then you can keep it from getting to the buds for the most part.
edit

really, lights on or off, probably has little to do with it.

hazy, I read here that it's pretty good for fighting PM so I used it since I have some already, but the PM is totally winning, so I went out and got the other stuff. I wish I could get Greencure but nobody here has even heard of it. May have to order some.
Haven't used the baking soda as I was using neem and wasn't sure whether I could spray all this different shit at such short intervals - I only noticed PM starting about 2 weeks ago and have been spraying neem every 4 days since, but like I said it's not working.

Soooooo, after lots of reading on this board I got my sulfur vape which I can't use yet because of the friggin neem, and I have this zone/penetrator which the manufacturer says to spray with lights on, so I just wanted confirmation on that, since dunking/spraying for PM is NOT the intended use of this product.

So what I plan to do is sulfur vape the moms, and zone/penetrator on the flowering girls. Not sure why we don't have Greencure or pure potassium bicarbonate, sucks.

I can only find greencure online. It may be available in nurseries.
Can't see why neem won't work, though i think it stinks.
If the ZP combo's ok on buds, i'd go for it.
Glad to see you've been working at it.
Potassium bicarbonate is just a slightly stronger base than Sodium bicarbonate.
Remember. all your doing is raising pH of leaves to make a hostile environment for the PM.
That's why milk or even plain water if high pH works.
Once you have it under control you can keep it from buds by checking constantly and spraying the spots on the leave before they can spread to the buds. My experience anyway, is that the fans and bud leaves get it first.

PM spores float around everywhere all the time. There just waiting for the right condition. bastards

thanks hazy, i'm ordering greencure. i read that potassium bicarbonate is 20% more effective than sodium. I checked nurseries, no go. Everybody seems to love greencure and ZP at any point in flower, so yeah that's the plan. And waiting for the dam neem to dissipate so i can vape sulfur.

I will, as you say, be diligent once it's under control, with regular sulfur vape for my moms and greencure and/or ZP in flower.

Would love to hear from more ZP users, whether you spray with lights on or off - not that I don't value thegreenjar's opnion :) but spraying with lights off raises RH so I'd love to be able to keep 'em on

ok ive seen alot about dutchmaster zone, does anyone know what the hell it is? what are the ingredients? so far ive only found this link : http://www.dutchmaster.com.au/pdfs/msds/ZONE_msds.pdf its a pdf. IT SAYS IT SMELLS NOTICEABLY LIKE BLEACH. so is it cool to spray your mildew plants with a light light mixture of bleach? much like i pre spray any new room i move into with a light bleach solution. i cant imagine bleach would be a good thing on a flowering plant. if it does have bleach.
