Powdery Mildew Problem on mother - AHHH!

I have a mother plant that has been kept at a friends house for safe keeping. She is very healthy, but has a nasty case of PM. I need to take clones off her in the next three or four days and was wondering if it would be safe to do so? The PM problem is not all over and some cuts look like they will be okay, but if I take them will it spread regardless? Would the humidity dome for the clones make the mildew spread even worse with the extra humidity?

Also, what would be my best method for curing this mother as fast as possible? I need these clones and this is the only mature mother I have to use. Thanks in advance and hope someone can help. I have used milk in a spray bottle a while back which worked well, but it was a small problem. This is much larger.

NEEM OIL NEEM OIL. Soak the shit outa her. It might not be a bad idea depending how big she is the dunk her in a 5 gallon bucket and make sure you dont miss anything. PM is a bitch but if you take clones i would hit them with neem oil for a while to make sure eveything is good. Also dont put the clones in the same dome as other non infected clones it isnt worth contaminating healthy ones. Good luck

Stanky neem for a mildew problem?Maybe your right man but that would be a last resort for me.I've never had a mildew problem but it seems to me I would take a cut, mist it well and wipe her down maybe with a paper towel.Wouldnt that take care of it?I thought neem was for pests and actually gets into the plants physiology killing the pests that way,I dont know if it would be effective with mildew.I've never had mildew man so I might be way off base but it seems like something that can be removed before you cube and tray your cuts.

i've used neem oil for spiders and only had probs if i've had the lites too close and the oil has baked the leaves. imo need oils ok if u dont make it to storng and keep the lite further away for a while. thought neem oil suffercates them pests wud prob do same with mildew, not sure :chin: .

check humidity and keep it down, wipe it off best u can with a damp cloth, keep all yr cuttings in seperate domeS.

i'm sure someone on the forum will hav the answer, som good experianced growers here.

good luck TGT.

High tgt. I would stick with the milk diluted in water and spray it on. Haven't tried neem oil but it is suppose to combat p.m. also. Ive tried baking soda mixed in a spray bottle with water but it usually fucks up the leaves. If it keeps showing up i would get a sulfur burner. Goodluck. Peace and *bong* :friends:

If your an organic farmer I would use neem. einstein oil is some of the best. Neem has many wonderfull uses and combating pm is one of them. If it continues to be a problem you should take maistres advice and get a sulfur burner. Neem can only do so much.

If you take cuttings from a plant with powdery mildew, the cuttings will have powdery mildew. It may not show up till flowering but it will be there. Einstein is great because it protects against other factors, but for PM specifically I use an organic spray derived mainly from garlic oil. Cant remember the name off my head, but its SaferGro Mildew something. Anyways, smells like crazy strong garlic but 2 full entire and thorough (must be thorough) sprays and its gonna be gone. Not that expensive, concentrated for many uses. Can be used like 2 weeks up to harvest.
