powdery mildew how???

Humidity is at 20% temp is around 70. Once i found the overnight temp dropped to 65. Ventilation is very good. Is that one night enough for pm to gain a footing??? Why do i have pm on some of these new clones from harborside? Help!!

I too live in the bay area, where powdery is rampant... In general if a plant exibits PM it was already in the plants immune system probably almost for up to two weeks.. I love harbor side, and many clubs vending babies to the community, however, most of the clubs you go to have a regular inconsistency in temperatures to begin with....e.g., how many times the door swings open in a business day... And ultimatly, even in climactic conditions like the ones you mentioned in your room, which generally arent the red zones for powdery striking, do strike..... you can get safer sulphur spray, einstein oil, burn sulfur for a few hours a day for a week or two, and more than likely you can rid yourself of it through its remaining cycle... some strains more prone than others let me add.. Just take extra measures in treating club purchased clones going from environment to environment and so on... Best of luck, it is beatable....:dueling:

thanks tlarrrge!

Ya i've been using einstein oil and as far as i know i can only hope that it's helping...the one's affected are gdp and grapefruit kush so far. Like one tiny spot on a leaf or two. the clones are only 4-5 in tall. F-13 has not shown any signs of symptoms.
it's a real bummer though because i thought that the warmer spring temps would have prevented an outbreak from occuring as easily as winter (winter weather had me lose a harvest to pm) and i did quarantine them right when they got home. (sigh)

anyway thanks for checking in and sharing your knowledge

Welcome to the bay area, we have a high amount of spores in our air for some reason, almost EVERYONE i know that grows has experianced powder mildew, hell my plants are showing signs of it tooo.

1) einstein oil does not work, go to your hydro shop and grab a bottle of any kind of fungicide that has SULFUR as the main ingredient. Spray all your plants down when the lights are off, let them chill for a week.

This has worked for me, but i want to go bigger, so i just bought a Fungalflor bomb which main ingredient it Imazil.

I will be setting this off within the next few days.

ive never grown in indica in the bay without having pm issues especially close to the beach for some reason. there are plenty of ways to build up the immune system and take care of it. i always use a spray solution 3x in veg as prev maint.
