this is my 3.5 ft bush, shes been topped a few times in her life, soil is unknown (taking care of the plant til my buddys back from vacation) the soil is more than likely just normal dirt.. but she seemed to like it! im not to sure if its powder mold or not, ive been spraying her with insect killer from green earth. ive been trying to keep the soil nice and damp but if i give it more than 1.5 litres of water all the water just drains on the bottom..

any help would be greatly appreciated!!

edit... ok having troubles posting pictures, theyre in my gallery..

If it's powdery mildew why spray the plant with bug killer?

You don't want the soil completely damp this will definantly contribute to mildew. WHat are tyour temps and humidity?

One thing too you do not want to spray the plants with water because that will contribute to it

what lights are these plants under? How long are they on for and do the lights get shut off? if so for how long?

You want water to come out the bottom every 2 waterings to make sure she gets good watering every once in a while; but if you do it everytime you will overwater them .

How often are you watering?

Just because the soil seems dry on top does not mean it needs water; using a moisture meter or your finger down into the pot away from the plant sol you won't hit any roots and pull your finger out if it's moist it does not need water; but if its kinda dry feeling when you pull it out then it needs a little bit of water.

Spray it with Neem-- Or use 1 tsp baking soda/gal...and spray with that--
Powdery Mildew is a bitch...especially in flower...
Get rid of it, or it WILL kill your plant-- :badday:

The most important thing, is to get control of your humidity-- It may not seem that bad during the day (Or with lights on)..but when it is night/or lights are off...is when plants transpire...and create the most humidity--
Try exchanging more air...lots of fans...powered exhaust--
Then spray whatcha got-- IMHO, Neem is best...but get on with the baking soda...it (unfortunately) will not be a 1 stage cure...it will more than likely take a few (good) sprayings...to truly get rid of it-- The prob with this stuff, is that it gets really tough to deal with during flowering..as it hides in the buds...Unfortunately, I have had to make the decision to spray Neem close to harvest...or lose half the crop-- Psssst...Neem doesn't taste THAT bad-- :muahaha:

there is really no way to control my humidity, it is outside on my deck all day long... no fans or anything like that. i have given it a few good sprayings with the baking soda water, looking better.

I love Neem. I use it every 3 days or so. It fights mildew, mold, fungus, and repels bugs through a systemic approach. I stop using it the last week or 2 though. I'm not sure if you have to but I like to let the oil fully breakdown. It smells funny too.
